Guest guest
My sister had been told twice that she might lose her foot. She's had a fall and her foot got infected without her noticing that anything serious was wrong.
Guest guest
I've had staph, strep and coral spores turn into major infections requiring IV antibiotics, many of you might remember my trip to paradise and the last snorkleing trip - to sum up for the new people, scratched my leg on live coral. Thought nothing of it, in the islands we rub fresh lime into it, so did that and the bleeding stopped. Went on with the trip. Two weeks later, back at home, came down with what seemed to be blood poisioning...to the hospital and an infectious disease doctor said this wierd infection (now in stripes up my right leg) was due to the coral scratch... 2 weeks and heavy does of Rocephin later, I was OK. I take care of my feet, legs and skin routinely and regularly, yet things just happen. One staph infection was contracted in a hospital ER actually, after being there for a car accident observation. Again, it was another 2 weeks later that I noticed it, just because my right foot was really burning more - (usually both feel burn together with the same intensity) ~ Gretchen
