Guest guest
Some peeps take 100mg/day? I never read that! gracia , there is not yet a consensus on the ideal iodine range. The traditionalists argue for 150 mcg to a maximum of 1000 mcg (1 mg). Abraham et al argue for 6 - 12.5 mg on a daily basis after reaching iodine sufficiency using up to 50 - 100 mg. See the links in Iodine Basics for a lot more information on this. iodine/links/Iodine_Basics_001140260957/ Also, check out the Orthoiodosupplementation section of our newly developing website: www.iodine4health.com Zoe Re: Re: Mitral valve prolapse I'm taking this opportunity to ask whether there is a consensus concerning a desirable range for iodine intake? Also, since I'm new to this list, I'd also like to know if iodine comes in a variety of forms, and if there is agreement about the form is, in which it should be taken? I'm currently taking a product put out by NOW, called POTASSIUM PLUS IODINE, which contains, in each tablet, 225mg iodine (from potassium iodide). I'm presently taking one and one-half tablets for a total of about 335mg iodine. thank you. jp No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Guest guest
Wow I have never ready 100 mg either. Dr. B was going to up me to 62.5 (1 - 50 & 1-12.5) if my Tg did not come down the first time we tested but it did come down so we stayed with 50. I can't imagine how I would feel at 100. I would have to take the 50 mg all at once and when I did that last time my mouth had a huge amount of saliva. B.My Ebay Auctions: http://tinyurl.com/o9nqvLIKE SOY CANDLES? Guest guest
It all depends on your reasons for taking it. Some stay at a smaller amount, some take larger amounts, some increase slowly, some need to jump right in at higher amounts to feel better. Have you read all the info in the files? Have you read Dr. Brownsteins book? You will get lots of good information from those things to help you decide. Donna in IL Im just starting out on Lugols 5% solution and I was wondering how much iodine to take. I read that 1 drop of Lugols 5% solution has 6.25 mg of iodine, is this right? How many drops should I take? And do I increase it over time or stay on the same amount?
