Guest guest
Lynn, I think your hypothesis that iodine increases progesterone deserves serious attention. Zoe My guess is that iodine may interfere somehow with the hormonal balance in favor of progesterone and lowering estrogen as well. ------> There was one small study that showed an increase in progesterone. I can't find it right this minute though and I've got to go. (Lynne or Madeleen may have a reference to it) I'm leaning towards the iodine increasing progesterone myself. When I think about now I'm wondering if each time I got off off iodine there were also signs of too much progesterone. Sluggish, bloating, constipation, depressed, drugged like sleep, food cravings...those are all signs that I had when I was HRT and taking too much progesterone.
