how iodine kills viruses

I apologize if this question has already been answered but I have

searched the archives and it did not reveal the answer.

I have heard people refer to iodine killing viruses...Is this because

of a property that it contains or is it because it is filling a

nutritional need in the body and the body kills the virus?

I am able to tolerate the iodoral now and it is pretty powerful. I can

tell you that taking even the armour thyroid does not activate the

places that the iodine does! The Lugols has not arrived yet.
