Hi! I had a abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) from hip to hip 2 weeks ago

along with a breast lift and I was wondering from those that have had

one how long until you started exercising and doing normal activities

again. I still have one drain and lots of swelling.

I can't believe that it has been only 5 1/2 months and I have a

completely different body. I went from an XL to a small.

Thanks,

Janna

Please ask your doc about this. Only he knows the extent of your

surgery. Exercising before areas are well-healed has caused drains to

come out and then needing to be surgically replaced, swelling to

increase, wounds to open up, infections to take hold, and more. You've

done great, so don't risk messing things up now!

Walking should be ok soon, and this is still one of the best forms of

exercise.

Just out of curiosity, what was your starting BMI? Sandy R

My starting BMI was almost 35%, but I had lots of comorbitities. I

couldn't lose weight before the band even exercising an hour a day.

Thankfully with the band I have lost almost all my excess weight in

just 5 months!
