The only thing that helps my strong heart beats is potassium. My vision also

gets very fuzzy during these bouts of heart issues. I work out hard and sweat

quite a bit which lowers my potassium levels but since I've developed my

thyroid problems my potassium loss is totally out of hand. Since potassium

supplements are limited by law to 99 mg which is only 3% of the RDA I struggle

to get enough potassium. I found a tomato juice with very high potassium

(s low sodium tomato juice) it has 925mg in 8 oz which is like taking

almost 10 potassium pills (26% of the RDA). My nighttime heart rate and

arrythmias are totally under control now BUT I need this steady intake of

potassium from Bananas and tomato juice. I just returned from europe and

bought potassium chloride 600mg over the counter but am afraid of taking a

non-food form of potassium.

Have you ever had your aldosterone checked? This lowers potassium

levels, and a couple people on another newsgroup have hyperaldosteronism.

An old home remedy recommended by DC Jarvis who wrote " Vermont Folk

Medicine " called for a couple teaspoons of organic Apple Cider Vinegar

along with a couple teaspoons of raw honey and a drop of Lugol's

Solution in a glass of water. He wrote about the " usefullness of

iodine " as well as potassium.

That would certainly be high in potassium, plus ensure you get enough

iodine.

I tried it for a while, but those with low adrenals like me, don't do

well with extra potassium. I didn't know that at the time.
