I drink Propel every day, as do most of my gym friends. No problem at

all. It's flavored water with a few vitamins. There's nothing in it

that should cause diarrhea and painful stomach cramps. Sounds like

maybe the store clerk just happened to try out Propel the same week

she got food poisoning or a stomach virus.

PS - I like kiwi-strawberry flavor best :-)

Is Propel basically the same as gatorade?

I like gatorade a lot for when I'm doing long martial arts sessions, or outside

in the georgia

heat (not quite yet this year...) but it does have calories.. but I never drink

it unless I'm

seriously sweating.

I didn't have any problems with it. Altho I didn't care for it very

much.

No. Propel doesn't have the carbs/sugar that Gatorade does.

Some purists would say nothing but water is water. Personally, I

count juices, water, gatorade, and all sorts of other things as

" water " . After all, they are 99 percent water. Why is it different

if you eat a bite or two of tomato and then have a glass of water, or

if you have a glass of tomato juice? Either way, the solids and the

fluids are processed the same (at least once the bites go through the

stoma).

I'm sure someone will come on and disagree...but that's fine. I just

know what works for me. And I normally get at least three

liters/quarts of water a day. It is POSSIBLE to have too much water,

but we're talking a LOT more than that. Most bandsters are much more

likely to have dehydration than excess water.

I'm with Dan - any no-calorie fluid is fine - any of the flavored, non-

carbonated waters, any crystal lite, any tea, diet snapple, fruit2O -

millions of choices. the little single packs of Crystal lite are

excellent to carry with you - just pop one in a drink bottle of water

and you're set!

It's good to avoid the juices, (mostly sugar, although V-8 occasionally

is ok), all protein drinks except in special, temporary circumstances,

and all other " liquid calories " . None of these keep you full, none bump

up the metaboissm for a couple hours as digesting solids do, and none

will advance your weight loss. Sandy R

Propel is ok , but personally if you are on treatment and not eating well the gatorade(or any fluid replacement drink) is better because of the sugar . But diabetic's should not drink it . Anyway you can buy propel at any grocery store , its in the sports drink section . I have drank it before when in europe I personally didnt care for the taste ,lol

I have had propel water and it was 'ok',, nothing special,, but I just dont understand why everyone is so against plain ole water,, it IS the best for us, like I said, put lemon in it or put some fresh squeezed juice in it, , everything else has so many chemicals, preservatives, food colorings, artificial flavors and ALL of those have to be filtered through your liver. Your doc might say its ok,, but you know what,, the docs only have about 2 weeks on nutrition and have NO CLUE about this stuff.. they know chemical medicines but only what the big pharmy tells them.. they actually see no corelation between what you eat and drink and how healthy your body is unless you are totally emaciated and starved or fully dehydrated.... YOU guys, YOU are fighting for YOUR LIFE here,,, drink the FILTERED WATER for most of your intake,, if you drink some propel water, or some gatoraid, its not going to kill you but the thing here is that you guys are fighting for your lives,, now if

it were 'your' child who was going to do this tx and you knew that putting extra and UN NECESSARY chemicals into their bodies would or 'could' compromise their treatment,, would you let them drink all that stuff? Ask yourself that... remember this treatment is only for a year for most ppl,, yes, that is a long time,, but its NOT forever, and your BEST chance for killing this virus is the first time you treat. Not always but this virus is sneaky and finds ways to mutate,, so if you are not going to do everything 'by the book',, why bother at all.?????.. Im sorry I sound so harsh, but this IS YOUR LIFE,, YOUR FUTURE,, and something so silly as NOT drinking water and only wanting to find some sugary more tasteful drink seems really un necessary to me.. Remember, I was NOT supposed to even respond to tx and had virtually NO chance of reaching SVR,, but I DID,, so I MUST have done things right... this is the last thing I shall say to the group

about this unless we have someone new who comes in and ask,, and if you want any further info from me on this topic, please just email me privately. sigh,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Ally <4thMoon@...> wrote: Forgot to mention that the epinion thoroughly covers everything about propel from it's ingredients to taste to packaging. , I wrote something about this, I hope you read it,,, ALL of these drinks are chocked full of chemicals that OUR BODIES were NEVER designed to have to deal with.. <linda68082@...> wrote: Does anybody know anything about Propel, the sugar free equivalent of Gatorade?
