Guest guest Posted June 16, 2006 Report Share Posted June 16, 2006 This being my first post, I thought I'd ask the question: what is an optimal (and safe) dosage for iodine, and, assuming its an issue at all: in what form is iodine best taken. I'm currently taking the NOW product called, on the front of the bottle, POTASSIUM PLUS IODINE,; and in much smaller letters is stated SAFE IODINE POTENCY, which, I'm assuming, means that taking much more than the 1 tablet dose of this product (225 mcg) is "not" safe. I'm currently taking 1 and 1/2 tabliets of this NOW product. This product also contains the usual 99mg of Potassium, which I've concluded, based on information I've gathered on the internet, is absurdly low, and am currently taking about 2.5 to 3 gms, of supplemental Potassium (I believe present gov't standards for potassium dosage is about 5 gms). thanks jp Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
