I was banded over 3 years ago and absolutely love my band and each and

every fill I have received from my MX surgeon.

It is very sad to hear that you did not get to have the same experience

as the majority of us. Yet, it does sound like you have chosen not to

become bitter and used it to become a better you. That part is

wonderful in and of itself.

May God continue to bless you on your own unique journey towards health

and weight loss.

I'm happy with my fill and band for the most part. I did not loose the

amount of weight I wanted to or thought I would but most of that is my

own fault I suppose. To date I've lost 60 pounds and managed to keep

40 of it off. I'd like to loose at least another 50 lbs. and maybe I

will eventually. One good thing about the band is we can always start

again;-) I'll admit I've had some disappointments but have also had a

lot of positive things happen since I've had the surgery. If I had not

had it I'm sure I would have been dead by now since the ol ticker was

warning me it was about to give out. I also could not walk across a

parking lot without wanting to lay down and die. Now I'm able to walk

and even jog a little. I finally bought myself a new pink bike and

while I may not be the cutest thing on the street for passers by to

see, at least I'm out and about now and am moving daily. The amounts

of food I am able to eat is certainly reasonable and I think if I can

just get to the point of being sick and tired of being sick and

tired;-) I think I might be able to move past the CHOCOLATE and some

non essential liquid calories and get back on a " loosing streak " . It

really is all about choices on this life long journey and I'm glad I

chose the band.
