Guest guest
Hi , I have never used epsom salt as my recipe calls for disodium phosphate. I buy it from a large vitamin vendor. It should be very easy to find online or in a catalogue. Let me know if you need help. I buy the D-S in capsules and I opened them to get a teaspoon worth, mixing it with water. The taste is objectionable... so now I cheat! I just take 10 capsules... It may not be as effective, but the results seem the same. It is so much better going down! ken

Guest guest
Thank you all for your help. So far I couldn't find Disodium Phosphate in our small healthfoodstore here. The clerk was unable to help, as for ordering it for me, so I will go today and talk to the owner. Maybe she can get it for me. I don't get any catalogs to see if it is in there. But I will check around and see if I can find it somewhere else. Rose
Guest guest
-Hi Rose: I checked for disodium phosphate and found out some interesting things: It is used as a food additive in many foods... from Mcs to making cheese. Some believe that it actually helps with liver/gallbladder function as phosphates are necessary for certain homormonal interactions. It seems to be chiropractors who recommend it the most, over epsom salts? Who knows why? Standard Process is the company who manufactures the capsules I take. I get them directly from the manufacturer through my chiropractor. The vitamin site " Vitanet " sells the 90 capsule bottle for $18 and will ship next day. Vitanet = http://shop.store./vitanet/disphos90cap.html I found a chiropractors recipe for the flush which is very similar to the one I use... just more disodium phosphate (2 Tb instead of 1) As a first time flushee, I recommend that you follow this recipe, but use the capsules instead of the solution of D-S in water. I find the epsom salts and disodium phosphates to be the most objectionable, but not bad at all in when taking capsules. Mix your olive oil with grapefruit juice and it will go down easily! Good Luck! ken Monday thru Saturday noon: Each day drink as much apple juice or apple cider as your appetite will allow (1 quart is preferred). People with sugar-handling problems should consider cutting the apple juice 1:1 with water. Juicing your own apples is best, purchasing apple juice at your local health food store to assure there is no additives is an alternative. Do this in addition to your regular meals or supplements. Saturday noon: eat a normal meal. Saturday 3:00 pm (3 hours after #1): Take two tablespoons of disodium phosphate(SP) in 2 ounces of pure hot water. You may substitute disodium phosphate(SP) with the same amount of Fleet's laxative (phospho-soda buffered oral saline laxative). If desired follow with a little freshly squeezed citrus juice. Saturday 5:00 pm (2 hours later): Repeat step #3. Saturday evening meal: Only grapefruit or other citrus fruit or juice as approved. Saturday Bedtime: Drink 1/2 cup of lemon juice blended with 1/2 warm unrefined virgin olive oil. It is important to do this step before 9pm. It is best to plan on an early evening. There should be no problems, although some people find swallowing the olive oil difficult. On the odd chance that the olive oil induces vomiting please call me for further instructions. Go immediately to bed. Lie on your right side with your right knee pulled into your chest for 30 minutes. This step is very important. Sunday morning: One hour before breakfast take 2 teaspoons of disodium phosphate dissolved in 2 ounces of hot water or more of the Fleet's laxative. Expect a loose bowel movement. Patients who have chronic problems with gallstones, biliousness, backaches, nausea, etc, often find small gallstone-type objects in the stool. They are light green to dark green in color, very irregular in shape and size. If a large number are found you may need to repeat this flush in 4 weeks. Guest guest
Hi Ken When you drink the apple juice do you have any other food with it, or just juice? and does it matter if it is another time besides lunch? Thanks Ken

Reply: Yes, I eat during the first 4 1/2 days of the flush as I am drinking the apple juice. I don't eat as much, becasue I am not very hungry. I am not sure what you mean about another time besides lunch? I drink apple juice all day long. It sits with me at my desk! I try to drink at least 1 1/2 quarts a day. I stop drinking the apple juice at noon the 5th day and fast for the next 11:00 hours prior to the olive oil. I have switched taking the disodium phosphates to 5:00 and 7:00 even though my recipe calls for it earlier. If you have done 1-2 complete 5 day flushes... You can do a mini- flush with great effectiveness by reducing the apple juice to 2 1/2 days instead of 4 1/2. I may even try Jens approach on my next flush by drinking the apple juice 1/2 gallon one day and then flush at night... doing this every other night for 3 flushes. It sounds like it could really clean you out! ken
