Guest guest
I went for a recheck this past week and sure enough my level is too high yet again. My doctor has now increased me to 150mg of Synthroid along with my Cytomel. Since August I have only had about one month where my level has been within normal limits. I'm not sure whether it could be the Cytomel because I started taking it in August. I've only read positive things about Cytomel but I plan on researching about it some more.

Hope everyone is well.

Tyra
Guest guest
Blimey Deborah, You don't half go through it. And you keep on laughing anyway! What a Girl! This thing about saliva-pooling - to state the obvious, if it's just happening at night, then it must be a gravity issue. How do you sleep in bed? How many pillows do you use? I think it's important that you do everything you can to improve this problem, even if it means practically sitting up in bed to sleep. You must protect your lungs. And stop being such a naughty person, eating things that you know for a fact are going to upset you! If you have read my OT post you will see that what I was fearing, has actually happened to you. I am SO sorry to hear about your fall. Please keep me informed (privately if you prefer). Take care, with love from Ann XX From: deborah_lattimore <deborah_Lattimore@...> Subject: just a little update achalasia Date: Friday, 20 February, 2009, 8:51 AM Dear Fellow Achalasians, Well, I certainly am feeling aged lately. Besides having more trouble swallowing at night (wish I didn't have this doggone saliva- pooling thingie I've got) and coughing, I recently had a little adventure of another sort entirely. I was getting my two ish Terriers ready for a walk, leashes on, halters adjusted, when I went out my front door and suddenly couldn't find my feet, the wall next to my kitchen seemed to bend in a weird way and I fell down three little stairs, whacking myself on the landing, got a dislocated finger and felt really out of it. Came back into the house and passed out. After the ER and tests, it turns out I've had some TIA's. I now have a new neurologist, some great MRI pictures, and am getting more stuff done soon. And I read a post here a few minutes ago about what to eat and what not to eat and I can attest to the comments that you just don't want the wrong things after a night wrestling with all sorts of spasms and pain. I ate some pretty good Mexican food a few weeks ago and I can tell you it's not worth it, if you, like I do, react to spicy stuff, no matter how great it once was. As I told the guys down in exray, if I have Barretts and it's a cancerous problem, I can always, still, brush my teeth with broiled lobster. all best, Deborah, at the beach
