Guest guest
Costume ball, costume ball. We are beautiful, we are fun Why not dress up in costumes and colors and, feathers and laugh and have a wonderful time! Or tux and tail.... We can have a costume exchange too.... as well as a clothing exchange. And prehaps hire a kareoke dj so Ann is not chained to the machine.... ideas ideas.... now it the time for ideas! And of course more things that glow in the dark.... Yes I like more bandster to bandster discussions. I think we can learn a lot from each other. 404.3/178/178 Dr. Rumbaut 2/27/01 Life is a Learning Curve · ´¨¨)) -:¦:- ¸.·´ .·´¨¨)) ((¸¸.·´ ..·´ -:¦:- -:¦:- ((¸¸.·´* * * (º·.¸(¨*·.¸ ¸.·*¨)¸.·º) «.·°· *3rd X the Charm*.·°·.» (¸.·º(¸.·¨* *¨·.¸)º·.¸)
Guest guest
These are all incredibly excellent ideas for sure! Right on! Does anyone else have any ideas they would like to add? Who is in favor of a costume ball and who is in favor of a black and white ball? I think the western line dancing is a great idea too. Barb would your friends be willing to come and give a lesson or two? And kind of kick off a party? Ask and let me know. I am hoping that we will get a professional dj that can run several venues from line dancing, to regular bump and grind, we may even want to do a midnight square dance, and karaoke. Anyone else got ideas that need to be tossed in the entertainment hat? Re: Harvest Bash I like the idea of dancing....do we have any folks who can teach us some steps? Western line dancing, anyone? I have some friends who taught line dancing in bars for years. Not bandsters, but bandster friendly and they might be willing. I'd love to see bob in full cowboy gear... Since the last two bashes have had a plethora of drs, perhaps we could have just one who discusses banding for the newbies, and one who discusses plastic surgery (or shall we give that a rest for a year?), and then just lots of group discussions/workshops. I'm just brainstorming here, now is the time for this... Bring lots of TP and have a costume/hat making workshop. Perhaps even a crafts area, where bandsters can make stuff that expresses their banding journey....how about a tiara or mask making/decorating table, with lots of blank masks, feathers, beads, etc? A badge making table for our " before " photos. And for those so inclined, perhaps a yoga workshop, or some other kind of movement workshop. What about a massage workshop? We deserve to learn how to pamper ourselves, this is one area where I really shortchange myself. Maybe even a makeup workshop, I'm a jeans and t-shirt kind of gal and seldom wear it, and don't even know much about how to use it. What about someone who does your " colors " ? Some folks may want to have a " stitch and bitch " circle, with people bringing their handsewing or knitting projects and sit around and gab (one of my fave things to do). Barb S., off to a stitch and bitch session right now barbooch@...
Guest guest
Personally, I really enjoyed the Plastic Surgeons talk. I found it fascinating! It also made me feel quite so saggy! ) Costume ball would be a hoot...and a massage clinic would be awesome! I agree...too many doctors saying the same thing, though I did enjoy them. Dr. Kuri's magic show was sweet. I just can't wait to see (less of) everyone again! PS - Gayle...your plant is blooming these big white blooms and it is gorgeous!! Love to all! Guest guest
I am wondering if a massage clinic would fall under the category of entertainment? Not sure, just out of curiosity, if we got some people in to do massages, how many of us would actually go and get a massage? We would want someone or a few someones that are really good, and well versed in things like reflexology and stuff. They would have to rent their own room, so it would be a situation where we would have to have some sort of idea of a minimum of people that would do that. I personally would take a later morning massage while I am recouping from the nite before. So I would do it, any other takers? Re: Harvest Bash Personally, I really enjoyed the Plastic Surgeons talk.
