Guest guest
Hi kathy and welcome! Hey a great place to start as well is the group called smart bandsters. Before asking a lot of questions, it is common courtesy to try and find your answers in the files or the archives, and to lurk and learn as well. Any questions you don't find in the arcives or the files feel free to ask, but if you are wondering on costs and procedures etc. there is already so much information on it from people asking the same questions over and over again, the soup nites are wonderful place to get info as well. If you have the drive and the will power to free yourself from the pain and anguish weight causes, you will find exactly what you need in these groups. Myself I learned about the band one week and the next I had it done, some people takes them years to decide. You will do well and again welcome aboard! bob Dr kuri 316/235/199 Hello everyone....New member here.....from Tacoma Wa Hello...my name is Kathy..Im 51 5'8 " 365 lbs and live in Tacoma Wa.. I was at a BBW dance last Saturday and met a really neet couple that sat at the same table. I found out that they both have had the banding done...I had never heard about it before. Im on disabality for severe arthritis and spinal stinosis...and living with pain on a daily basis. Quality of life is not at its best right now. I have had my name on a waitting list at the UW for almosat 2 years now..and not REALLY wanting to go to that extent..but needing some help. Finding out about the banding made me VERY happy and very interested in learning more about it all. The gal I talked to told me about this group and " Soup Nights " and suggested I join...so here I am...any information on who I might go to in this area would be great. Im also going to discuss this with my General Dr. as well as my Orthopedic surgon... So ...once again " Hello " to everyone and looking forward to hearing from some of you soon !! Thanks for the time to read all of this !!

I hope you also join the Smartbandsters list on groups, which is where most of the regular discussion happens. This list is used to announce local events, etc. If you have band related questions, they're best answered on Smartbandsters.
