Pulseometer and adrenal support questions

In his book, Dr. Peatfield refers to a " pulseometer " for those of us

who have trouble taking our own pulse. I'm not sure I know what one

is: has anyone a recommendation on what to get and where?

Also, is there any information about how to start adrenal support and

is it safe to start it on my own or should I wait till I see Dr. P. in

September?

Background info: my latest TSH was 2.56 with Free T4 11.0, (it was

5.55 with Free T4 12.7 in October) and using the various

questionnaires and body temperature tests it looks like I might be

mildly hypothyroid and have mild adrenal problems.

I am feeling ill with fatigue mostly and haven't worked since before

Christmas. I feel much less wretched and in pain than I did when I was

still trying to keep going.

I'm not overweight: over the last four or five months I've cut out

sugar as far as I can and my weight is slowly creeping down after

years of even more gradual increase. So I don't know if I can have a

thyroid problem.

Sorry to witter on,

:)
