As I understand it, some people detox through the lungs. I think it is

possible for that to lead to pnuemonia. You might want to see a homeopath

about it.

Increased mucus is a classic sign of iodine (runny nose, watery eyes, increased salivation). So it doesn't seem impossible that this could be an indication to cut back on the Iodoral. Coughing seems one possible reaction to these symptoms.

My 94-year-old mother, when she tried taking two Iodoral after two weeks on one, soon developed the symptoms of a severe cold (constant sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes). I had her stop the Iodoral, the next day the symptoms were gone. After three days with no more symptoms, she restarted on one Iodoral.
