Guest guest
Hi, I sent a long message a while ago, but I think I put too much in it, so am re-posting the bits of my message that didn't get answered first time around. Here goes..... Background: I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's (positive TPO antibodies) and Hypothyroidism early in 2007. I haven't felt well since. Symptoms include cloudy thinking, extreme fatigue, weight gain, heart palpitations (since taking T4 replacement), low energy (some days I just stay in bed and sleep for hours), dry hair, migraines, anxiety symptoms that come and go, poor memory, difficulties doing simple tasks that were not an issue prior to getting ill, some fluid retention (especially puffy around eyes and arms), dry brittle nails, eyebrows have thinned, gluten intolerance, irregular menstrual cycle, limited mobility in right shoulder (might not be related but I'm mentioning it anyway). ..................................................... PLASMA AMINO ACIDS TEST I've had a plasma amino acids test done, but don't fully understand the results despite speaking to my doctor. He spoke in general terms about amino acid deficiencies. QUESTION: Can anyone shed further light on my test results? Any input would be appreciated. My low and 'out of reference range' results are as follows: lysine 122 ( reference range 135-243) threonine 82 (99-190) aspartic acid 2 (3-146) Ornithine 35 (80-150) histidine 58 (62-150) arginine 45 (55 -118) tyrosine 47 (52-83) leucine 102 (115-193) valine 141 (188-287) I'm high in glycine 393 (197-320) .................................................... VITAMIN D LEVELS 25 Hydroxy Vitamin D levels were 26 and more recently 58 (in range of 60 - 160). I was given a large dose of VitD3 but it didn't seem to do much at all. Comprehension might have improved a bit, but that may have been incidental. Not sure. QUESTION: Does anyone know what effects you should feel after taking a large dose of VitD?
