Donna, the very first signs that we are getting full are called

the " soft stops " . not sure, but I think jessie coined this word long

ago. These mean " STop or you will be sorry, with even one more bite "

It's good to even spit out the bite that is already in your mouth.

the soft stop signs include a single burp, a single hiccup, a sneeze, a

sudden runny nose, a sudden sinus headache (mild or worse), shoulder

pain similar to that right after surgery, presuure in the middle of

your chest or lower back.

All these are caused by the very first touch of the filled (expanded)

pouch on the diaphragm, which is right next to the pouch. They can be

very subtle, so it takes practice and slow eating to learn to recognize

them. mine is a single burp, and that seems to be a vaery common one.

If I eat even a drip more I then have a very sudden runny nose that is

very embarrassing.

This is one question any of the many experienced people here could

answer - and now you can too! :-)

PS This is different with the first 4-6 weeks or so, when we all burp a

lot becuase we are not healed yet. It really applies mostly to those

who have one or more fills. Sandy R

I don't know about the first burp, but you should definitely quit

immediately on the first hiccup, or on the first feeling of starting

to slime...runny nose, lots of saliva, etc.

I basically don't burp, and don't eat things that produce burps in

many (certain veggies, soda, etc).

I was in TJ yesterday for a fill and my roommate had asked me to see if I

could pick up some Vicodin for her (she is having terrible back pains

lately). I found out from the pharmacy there that they do not make Vicodin

in MX. He wanted to sell me something called Tramedol (sp?) and said it was

very good for pain. I didn't buy it, as I was unfamiliar with it, but will

be going back to TJ to see a dentist soon, and will buy it if anyone can

tell me what it is and if it is any good.

Thanks!

Thank God for what you have, and trust God for what you need.

, It is illegal to purchase any medication in Mexico that you do

not intend to use yourself.

If your friend needs pain medication, she must get an RX from her OWN

US DOC, who knows her history, other meds, and can appropriately

treat her, after finding ther REASon for ehr pain. If she is having

back pain that requires medication, her doc must investigate WHY she

is having pain. she must never simply cover it up.

It's nice of you to try to help her, though.
