Guest guest
Hi Kym THe new house is great - or at least it will be when we get done with it - it needs some work but Mitch is really good at remodeling! It is 4 bed, 4 bath - everyone has their own toilet - yippeee!!, 2 living, huge kitchen, study, pool and jacuzzi, it is on a cul-de-sac with only 6 houses. It has so many features we have wanted. It is close to the girls' school (supplement school), church and to Mitch's work. A really nice neighborhood. Close to shopping!!! Almost seems too good to be true! We should be moving in the first of April. How are things going with you? I continue to visit plastic surgeons. Found a guy right here in DFW that does a beautiful LBL for under $10,000. I am waiting to see how insurance pans out. hugs, cindy lee > Happy Anniversary Switch Sister!! > > I wanna hear about the new house... what's it like? Guest guest
Hi Lee! You're getting a new house? COOL! And a very inspiring update! And I agree with you about the gas and stinky mornings. The good thing is I have my own bathroom. Andy and I have a 2 bedroom, 2 bath house and he has his own bathroom issues so it works out well. I've pretty much got the gas under control except that I was a dork today and had deep fried calamari at lunch. (Oh Heaven!) Now I'm paying for it. But, it's not nearly as bad as it used to be. I'm going on two and half years out so maybe the further out you get, the better your body is able to assimilate the carbs. Hmmmm... Anyway, just wanted to say I'm really happy for you! On your update and your new house! Hugs! Tracey > Hi Friends, > > I have been incredibly busy - buying and selling houses - so I have > not kept up with what is going on with ya'll. Guest guest
Dear , The amount of years you have had the band is irrelevant to when you need a fill. If your weight loss has staled and you get hungry between meals or notice you can eat more than you use to then by all means go get another fill. Most doctors will tell you to call them and set up an appointment for a fill when you have two of those three signs in your life. How long you have had your band doesn't make a difference. As long as you desire and need to lose more weight it can be done because of the adjustments. Go for it! jo kqnewme <kellyquick@...> wrote: Is there anyone here still getting fills after 2 years? I have lost approx 50 pounds but still need to lose another 30. Believe me, every pound lost has been a struggle. Anyway, my last fill was in Jan 2005 and I am thinking about getting another one to see if I can jump start my weight loss. Just wondering what kind of experiences long term users have had. Guest guest
A friend of mine is close to 2 years out and she is going for a fill next week. She has one of the smaller bands, but has plenty of room left for a couple of fills. Her weight loss stalled several months ago, but still has another 50 pounds to lose (she's already lost just over 100 pounds). _________________________________________________________________ The next generation of Search—say hello! http://imagine-windowslive.com/minisites/searchlaunch/?locale=en-us & FORM=WLMTAG

(have you ever REALLY counted calories) 2. What exercise are you getting? 3. Do you have any, or enough, restriction? > Anyway, my last fill was in Jan 2005 > and I am thinking about getting another one to see if I can jump start > my weight loss. Just wondering what kind of experiences long term > users have had. If number three is that you don't have enough, and you're not really righteous on the first two, you won't lose. You don't say that you're tight or barfing or anything, so you might well need a fill. One of the wonders of the band is that it is always there waiting for a proper fill and a proper mind-set. dan -- Dan Lester, Boise, ID honu@... www.mylapband.tk Dr. Ortiz, Tijuana, 4/28/03 323/209/199 Age 63 The road goes on forever..... Guest guest
You can continue to get small fills as long as you need them, as long as you are not too tight and causing damage. Be sure to get periodic fluoros to be sure all is well - that your pouch or esophagus are not dilated, for instance. Only a fluoro will tell, and we need them at least 2x a year when we are getting fills, and then yearly for life. you want as little a fill as possible to still do well, so be sure you're doing YOUR part. Never go for more fill when you know there are things tyou're neglecting, becuase a fill just won't help. The longer we go with the band, the more we have to depend on ourselves and our better habits to continue to lose and then to maintain. But ther is no reson not to get more fillsif all the other things are in place and you'r still not losing. Sandy R at goal > > Is there anyone here still getting fills after 2 years?
