Guest guest
Just to let you know that I have today started the cleanse which consists of a lemon drink, 2 tbsp fresh organic lemon juice, 2 tbsp pure maple syrup, 10oz room temp water, 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper. I was extremely hungry first thing this morning and could not face this drink at that time, acquired taste to say the least LOL. However, I waited until 9am and then started it, I have just had the one glass so far and have to have at least 8 per day for 10 days. I don't know it I will last 10 days but I can say that I am not feeling hungry right now. Will keep a diary for the period of time that I do it - my weight this morning is 11.7 and I shall be weighing myself daily for a while to see if I get real weight loss benefit, supposed to be 2lb a day minimum.(gone up a little over the last couple of weeks which is not surprising as it has been traumatic to say the least) and if you are going to do it, it would be great to hear how you are getting on. Luv nne There is also a forum discussing Alkaline diets http://acidalkalinediet.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=6317 & sid=4da4d67de1c10e41ec044dcfbc11b210 If anybody is going to start on this, I would be very interested to know whether this really does help you. It sounds excellent. Perhaps and nne, you could start this together and compare notes
Guest guest
Whilst lemon juice is acid when it hits the stomach it becomes alkaline if you do your research you will find that I am right. The whole point of this particular concoction is that it gives you all vits & minerals that the body requires and a doctor wrote a book on it. I shall not be doing 10 days, I didn't actually think I could manage 10 minutes but it is not hard at all and I do not feel hungry, if I did then I would stop and take food but whilst I am not feeling hungry then I shall continue. I have to alkalise the body and this is what I am doing, it is not a DIET it is a cleanse and I will start to eat just fresh fruit and raw veggies with salads when after a day of orange juice only (fresh home made not carton stuff) when I stop the cleanse. This particular diet is said to 'cure' hypothyroidism which is why I am going to do it. I have been contemplating this for months not minutes and I feel the benefits that I could get from it far outweigh the pitfalls. Luv nne Hi nne, Alkaline diet drinking lemon juice? Lemon is very acid so this just doesn’t make sense chemically. I also thought that extreme dieting was the quickest way to put your body into starvation mode to conserve every calorie and shut the thyroid down to survive. Guest guest
> > Keep meaning to try the alkaline diet but have a lot of probs at the moment so it's not realistic. Have just been to oncologist following up on my breast cancer and have just found out that I'm sensitive to progesterone as well as oestrogen! Can't wait to see Dr Peatfield to try and get a grip on things. Will try to start after that appointment. Best of luck to you. > Just to let you know that I have today started the cleanse which consists of > a lemon drink, 2 tbsp fresh organic lemon juice, 2 tbsp pure maple syrup, > 10oz room temp water, 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper.
