Guest guest
Hi, Dee - welcome! With Bandsters, almost ALL reflux, no matter the type, means that the band is too tight or there is another band-related problem going on. Laryngopharyngeal Reflux is really NOT " silent " - there may be no heartburn - the classic sign of reflux - but there are many other symptoms - dry cough, dry throat, tooth problems, clearing of the throat often, and more. Take a look at the document in the files here, called " reflux " to learn more about all this. You'll see many of the stmptoms listed as a sign of dangerous reflux. If you formally join our group, you'll be sent this " Reflux " document, as well as others about the most important things we need to know about our band. Sadly, much is not taught or covered at all by the band surgeons, so we are responsible ourselves for learning a great deal about problems, including prevention, signs and symptoms, and treatment. Prevention is the most important. Sandy r banded 7.5 yrs at goal 6.5 yrs > > Anybody here have some experience with Laryngopharyngeal Reflux (also known as silent reflux)?
