I think part of that is the thyroid soaks up iodine in its nodules. So, at

the beginning it's not unusual to have a feeling of fullness to the thyroid.

In your situation I MIGHT try a lower dose, and see what effect that would

have. It could be it soaks it up, but eventually shrinks down to a more

normal size. I'm saying any negative swelling could be temporary. But,

caution is always important.

Adrenals / thyroid are interconnected. If one has low adrenals, and start

thyroid meds an adrenal crash isn't all that unusual.

It may be the reason you couldn't tolerate the thyroid meds.

what kind of steroid treatment are you on, and have you been diagnosed with

" 's " or " adrenal insufficiency " ?
