For example, a kid with Aspergers (as I understand it) has certain " difficulties " and " sensitivities " in the modern world that may not exist or exist in the same way in the Amish community (i.e., fluorescent lights bother some kids, but Amish wouldn't have them), but they are still considered " high functioning. " Perhaps in the Amish community, as high functioning Aspergers kid wouldn't even " look " that different. Or if they do, they might not be " looked at " as different. Cultural norms and the like. Again, not to say that the questions shouldn't be asked, because THEY SHOULD. Or, forget about the Amish...what about comparing mainstream kids who are & aren't vaccinated.
