Puppy's UT-would lugol's help?

I posted this question a while back but got no responses so I'm trying again. My 5-1/2 month old puppy (6 pounds) has a UTI that antibiotics are not helping. She's been on 4 or 5 different ones. They did a bladder x-ray and found no abnormalities. She is being spayed on Jan. 8th and the vet will look at her bladder then. I'm wondering if iodine might help her. I saw where someone said it cured their bladder infection when, I think, antibiotics didn't. If it might help, how much should I give her? I did give her one drop of Lugol's yesterday and one today but I don't know if that is enough, too much, or too little. Any input would be appreciated. I'm about at my wit's end with this.
