I am soooo warn down by this pain today...this week, this month... as I am sure u understand. I eat so many pain pills my stomache hates me, and they arent working. THe soonest I c my dr is july 9th but I think I am going to call them tomorrow!!! Thank you again, for just being here, get some sleep as I hope you feel good tomorrow, and sleep and rest is so important... just wish I could get some! Guest guest Posted June 25, 2007 Report Share Posted June 25, 2007 Kerry, Hope you called your doctor and can at least talk to him. If you are in pain, you need to let your doctor know. They can't fix what they don't know about. I called my rheumy three times last week. Once for more pain meds, once to up my prednisone and the final time he had me come in for a cortisone shot. He worked me in on a Friday afternoon, yeppers, he's one special Rheumy. But even he couldn't do it if I didn't let him know. I apparently was in more of a flare than I thought. You're getting charlie horses (cramps) in your legs? Do you think you might have low potassium? A couple of bananas could may you feel a bit better, and relieve the cramps. Guest guest Posted June 25, 2007 Report Share Posted June 25, 2007 Yeah i called the dr this morning and he got me right in, no change in pain meds, and now he wants to send me to another rhume in either Champaign or st louis. He is also rerunning all blood work and doing an ultra sound on my legs to check circulation. I also am the new owner of a wheelchair for inside.. Maybe I will be able to get around the house and do some cleaning! Im humiliated that i have to have it but I am hoping that maybe as long as i can get around in doors on my bad days that maybe I can be useful.
