Guest guest
Tami - Are you giving up? It's your right to do so, if you want to. If you are asking for help and suggestions on getting back on track, please let us know - possibly on the SmartBandsters Board, since this PNW board is primarily for announcements and such - especially since a major, national meeting is coming up in seattle next month and we are quit busy with arrangements. A sucessful band journey unvolves many ups and downs, and a lot of perseverence. The band is thankfully very forgiving, and you can alwsys re-commit and find ne solutions that will junp-start your weight loss again. I'm sure we can help you, if you wish help. hope to hear from you - Sandy, RN > Hello, I was banded last October (2002) in wonderful Mexico, it was a great > experence, and i started off being good, but just have failed another " diet > thing " . Then you need to find what stops you. Many find counseling to be helpful. Or someone who does behavior mod therapy. Before you think about something as drastic as bypass, check VERY carefully to decide if you want to risk your life and also spend the rest of your years shitting and farting. Is it worth it as opposed to finding out about your grazing? And, finally, are you filled correctly? If you are, most grazing won't be as possible without pain. dan Dan Lester, Boise, ID honu@... www.gailndan.com/lapband Dr. Ortiz, Tijuana, 4/28/03 323/228/
Guest guest
Tami, you don't give too many details. Usually if a band has failed it's because the body has rejected it or it has to be removed for some reason. it sounds like if you're grazing all day which is the worst thing because you can eat tons of calories in one day (i use to do this before banding) - - you need more fill? i'm at my 4th fill of 2.9 and i have to force myself to eat because I'm just not that hungry. Please don't even consider the bypass until you really look at the ramifications it has years down the road. Sure it's a quick fix to weight reduction but it's a major overhaul of the created innards we came with. I hate hearing you say this has failed for you. There is a place on here somewhere where Jessie Ahroni write " how you can tell you need a fill " or something like that. You need to read through that. Please take a further look at your band, contact your doctor's office and discuss this with them, see a bandster experienced nutritionist. Use the FitDay to see how many calories, fat you are consuming in a day. Gayle in Seattle 5/1/03 390/320/
