Guest guest
Hi all, I am very new to all this. I was rushed to the hospital Sunday thinking I was having a heart attach. Blood test and EKG came out fine. Was given some antibiodics for a virus and sent home, but was to see doctor on Monday. Doctor called a 2nd doctor in for a 2nd opinion and both said I have a very enlarged liver and they think a gull bladder problem and want to test me for cancer and hepatitis. I don't have insurance and left the office very scared. I am have chest pains still and didn't even know my stomach hurt until they pushed on it. I don't know how they could tell my liver was so enlarged without doing test. I am a small woman weighing in at 110 lbs yesterday and am 5'6 " . I am losing weight, but not trying to. In 3 months I have lost about 20 pounds. Has anyone had simular experiences? Any suggestions as to what I should try first? Thank you, PJ
Guest guest
Weight loss increases the chance of stone formation. They will want to test you for everything under the sun. It is classic for ER docs to palpate the gallbladder area, get a response and therefore come up with a gallbladder diagnosis. Just because you had pain, and may have gallbladder issues, does not mean that this is the problem that is causing your chest pains. They are throwing darts at the wall. Where in your chest are your pains? Have you been trying to lose weight or has the weight loss just happened? Because of your constitution, you probably run cold and dry, so while not the typical gallstone profile, you could tend towards hard mineralized stones if this is actually the problem. -Dave ----- Original Message ----- From: PJ<mailto:stardance101@...> gallstones <mailto:gallstones > Sent: Tuesday, October 24, 2006 10:18 AM Subject: Newbie has questions Hi all, I am very new to all this.
