Guest guest
, Why not limit your diet to things on the list that Steve prepared and use a lot of vegetable juicing (good for you and baby) and see if that makes you feel better. Then gradually add other good foods. I too have gallstones and am thinking of having them removed. The logic is what use are they serving if they are filled with stones? Digestion is compromised either way. Best of luck, EVW -----Original Message----- From: tracic@... gallstones Sent: Sat, 28 Oct 2006 8:15 AM Subject: I want an ultrasound & ? about ginger Well I am 12 weeks pregnant, and cannot do a flush. I have been eating really healthy and have not had any minor attacks in 3 weeks, and I was having manageable ones since I've been pregnant. Yesterday I had 2 BAD ones. The first bad ones I've had in over a year. I called my OB last night hoping that I could get him to call in an ultrasound for me. Nope. He only wants to refer me to a surgeon. Of course the surgeon will most likely say remove it. I could go to the ER and they would give me an ultrasound through the radiology dept, but I have a very needy baby at home that I cannot leave. I cannot go to the ER for hours while I wait for their routine bloodwork and all the stuff they do that I don't need. So it looks like I'll be going to a surgeon, mainly just because I want the ultrasound to be sure that it's not infected or anything. Some times I feel like I don't want this pain any more I should just have it removed, then I worry that it would work against my body. I've heard people cannot digest foods afterwards very well. I really want to keep every organ I have, but geez this pain. I have a question about Ginger. I've read you should not eat ginger if you have gallstones that it increases bile flow??? I took a vitamin yesterday, really good vitamins Rainbow Light prenatals. BUT it has ginger juice in it. Then of course I had the attacks. Do you think the ginger could hve caused the attacks??? I cannot imagine that it would, but my books do say not to take ginger. Increased bile flow? I thought that might be good, or would that only push a stone into the duct? Oh my gb aches today, this is so hard to deal with. Blessings, Traci ________________________________________________________________________ Check out the new AOL. Guest guest
I am scared of getting pancreatitis, and I am thinking about having my gb removed as well. Either way, I just don't know. It's a really hard decision. -----Original Message----- From: gallstones [mailto:gallstones ] On Behalf Of Msewarner@... Guest guest
Because when you lose your gall bladder the bile has no where to go.. Many people that have their gb removed have similar problems after the fact. Please read more at www.liverdoctor.com or www.weightcontroldoctor.com I have been reading her books and they make sense. She also recommends these eating habits for health.. ----- Original Message ----- From: Msewarner@... gallstones Sent: Saturday, October 28, 2006 1:31 PM Subject: Re: I want an ultrasound & ? about ginger , Why not limit your diet to things on the list that Steve prepared and use a lot of vegetable juicing (good for you and baby) and see if that makes you feel better. Guest guest
Technically, flushing is out while pregnant. Increasing bile flow is essential to cleaning out the gall bladder. Magnesium will help to relax the gallbladder and ducts. Extra oils (the right kind) will aid in the movement of bile. The rainbow light vitamin is an excellent product. Highly doubtful the amount of ginger in the product stimulated an attack. Unfortunately, since you are pregnant several things are happening to exacerbate your gallbladder situation. First and foremost, your liver is now going to be filtering the metabolic waste products for 2 organisms not just one. At this stage in your pregnancy, your body is preparing for the future and is working overtime in the detox process, this is why your skin breaks out and morning sickness happens at this stage. Ginger is the ultimate remedy for the morning sickness by the way. Also, as the fetus grows there will be less and less room and more and more pressure. Hold on to your gallbladder. You probably do not want the anesthetics and pain meds that you would receive during an operation to go to your child either. -Dave ----- Original Message ----- From: Traci<mailto:tracic@...> gallstones <mailto:gallstones > Sent: Saturday, October 28, 2006 4:15 AM Subject: I want an ultrasound & ? about ginger Well I am 12 weeks pregnant, and cannot do a flush.
