Guest guest
, I do not have Hashi. I took 50 mg Iodoral for 4+ months, then (because my iodine loading test was still low) 100 mg for one month. For the past 9 months, I have been experimenting with different doses (from 0 to 25 mg) to see if I could tell a difference. So far, I have not been able to see a difference. Brownstein reports that about 1/3 of the hypoT patients he starts on Iodoral are able to stop their thyroid meds -- usually those who have just started the meds and are on low doses. I, too, was hoping that the iodine would help me stop or lower my Armour, but that is not what happened. I have now cut back to 6 mg per day, but I have still not been able to decrease my Armour from the 6. Zoe, do you have Hashi's? Would you mind telling me again how much Iodoral/Lugols's you were taking and for how long?> I'm just not sure that it improves hypoT, unless the hypoT is due to low iodine.> I was under the impression that iodine would help people reduce or eliminate their thyroid meds. Guest guest
Interesting. I went from 2 to 3.75grain and I do have Hashi. I've been on Iodoral for 3 years and Natural Thyroid for 7 years and with the exception that it shrunk my goiter, I don't feel any different when I take and when I don't take it. I often wonder if it did make my condition worse. Too hard to tell. jingles > > , I do not have Hashi.
