One tab of kelp is nothing. You need to take a therapeutic dose to get well. Gracia Hello! I'm a relatively new member here with a question about fibroids. I have been taking a kelp tablet a day for several years, and a drop of lugols every other day for a month, in hopes of balancing hormones and overcoming subclinical thyroid/adrenal issues. I have some fibroids, not huge, just enought to be a pain in the rear (LOL). So, here I am, beginning my iodine supplementation program slowly and I have found that my fibroids are sending some medium shooting pains up. I'm thinking that it may be my body is working on them (healing crisis?)...What are the supplementation levels recommended for fibroids? Does it hurt when your body starts getting rid of them? Do they resorb, pass or what? Anyone have any other suggestions? (progesterone cream, higher levels of iodine?) I'm also taking cod liver oil, small amounts of maca, raw adrenal... I can't tolerate that much. I take 2 drops a day, which is fine. Skipper >Wednesday, January 3, 2007, 9:28:46 AM, you wrote: > >I really recommend 50mg day of Lugols. One tab of kelp is nothing.
