Guest guest
----- This excellent message ABSOLUTELY applies to ALL of us who send e-mails. Do you really know how to forward e-mails? 50% of us do; 50% do NOT. Do you wonder why you get viruses or junk mail? Do you hate it? Every time you forward an e-mail there is information left over from the people who got the message before you, namely their e-mail addresses & names. As the messages get forwarded along, the list of addresses builds, and builds, and builds, and all it takes is for some poor sap to get a virus, and his or her computer can send that virus to every e-mail address that has come across his computer. Or, someone can take all of those addresses and sell them or send junk mail to them in the hopes that you will go to the site and he will make five cents for each hit. That's right, all of that inconvenience over a nickel! How do you stop it? Well, there are two easy steps: 1) When you forward an e-mail, DELETE all of the other addresses that appear in the body of the message. Yes, DELETE them. Highlight them and delete them, backspace them, cut them, whatever it is you know how to do. It only takes a second. You MUST click the "Forward" button first, then you will have full editing capabilities against the body and headers of the message. If you don't click on "Forward" first, you won't be able to edit the message at all. 2) Whenever you send an e-mail to more than one person, generally, do NOT use the or Cc: columns for adding e-mail address. Always use the BCC: (blind carbon copy) column for listing the e-mail addresses. By doing this, the people you send to will only see their own e-mail address. If you don't see your BCC:, option click on where it says and your address list will appear. Highlight the address and choose BCC: and that's it. It's that easy. When you send to BCC: your message will automatically say "Undisclosed Recipients" in the "TO:" field of the people who receive it. So please, in the future, let's do our part to stop the spread of junk mail and viruses! Finally, here's an idea!!! Let's send this to everyone we know. ( but strip my address off first). This is something that SHOULD be forwarded. Hope you find the above info useful and helpful.

Guest guest
Hi , Yes I am. I didn't write the books to make money. The first few years after diagnosis I lived in constant fear of the future. Eventually I found that there was nothing to fear, that is not to say there were not problems. However, most fears never occurred and those that did do pass. Regards, Tom [low dose naltrexone] Re: info > Wow. I'm sorry kind of speechless here. What a gracious offer. Guest guest
Hi Tom, Thats great that you were able to overcome your fears through writing. Or that writing became your therapy. I have always thought I would like to write a book but I never seem to have the stamina. I write poetry but thats about it. Your theory is much like Dale Carnegie (sp?). He wrote about fears and how 99% of the time, the things we fear the most, never come to pass. We really are our own worst enemy. I give you alot of credit Tom! I think its great in this day and age to want to give something of yourself. It's refreshing to see. Take Care ps, I am going to see if I can get your book here in Canada. Do you know if Chapters carrys it? I would order off the site but shipping can get pricey. > >> > >> To All, > >> I will send any of these books to anyone with ms that cannot afford > > to pay for them. > >> Regards, > >> Tom > >> > >> > >> I have multiple sclerosis, I live not to far from Tom and his wife > > Joyce. Guest guest
Thanks so much Tom! I will check that out! It ends up costing almost twice as much once I convert to US funds and shipping costs. I will think of something. I wouldn't feel right having you pay shipping. Guest guest
Just wondering if your sofa is new or covered in mycotoxins. I'm glad my sofa is only 1-2yro and the old one went to goodwill. Hope my so called Love Seat isn't killing anyone. Hot showers then cold, whew, bet that is fun. Anyone took a bath in borax or washed hair in that? Is borax toxic in any way? I'll have to go read the box. Maybe take a shower and spray vinegar all over and in hair and let it get in skin. I was told to wet down the hair in vinegar but now I think I might do the body also. Bet that will burn. Looking back over the 12 years I can see things lined up in categories. It's a trip and I recall years back and always in the FALL when that poison heat came on. I'd wake up with my head itching like crazy and would scratch the heck out of it and thought how Weird is that. Thought it was the ragweed we get here in Fall. Would have been a better option than fungus eating me. Got more sores on the head recently too. That is gross. Guess if I meet someone I don't like, can get rid of them easily telling my story. I don't get them all over just 2-5 or so. I can recall the symptoms starting 1 1/2yrs in this house and as they went by. Very bizzare with the last 3-5 worse and now I get it. My personality changed bigtime and fatigue ETC. I feel bad for people that do not ever figure it out or get diagnosed with something totally OFF. My ears and eyes and throat would itch too. Gosh, I've been sleeping with the Enemy. When my heat came on this Fall, the eating feeling was in my nose too and really freaked me out. I do not have that now. I wonder if I have any infections in my snout. I still do swell up in eyes and face which is so OLD and tired of it and I do not like it making me look old and tired b/c I don't look old. Well, we are having a front from 70 today to 40 soon in day and I have that horrible feeling. I may go shower in vinegar. I don't do baths b/c a bathtub would have to be new and disinfected before I'd get in it. People sit in their own stuff they are cleanig off and what is in the tub already. Blah..........I think I will carry around with me a bottle of vinegar in a spray bottle. I just did spray my seat belt off in my car. Trying to figure out how I'm going to treat the car. I have fabric seats so I looked at seat covers tonight. Whenever I get time, going to hepa vac the car and ceiling in car and floors ETC. Spray with vinegar and let dry then cover the front seats. Not even sure they make covers for the back. I got one cute cover at Wal-mart that has a cat fact on it but rest is black and now I think maybe not good b/c black shows up everything and I carry animal hair with me on clothes ETC. This hyphae stuff talks about, can it be ridden of by shaving off hairs? I know not inside but I think my hairs would grow back thicker on arms etc if I shaved off hair plus I'm not going to shave my head!!!! I think the itching comes from the inside but who knows. Could be outside also. I'm calling my neuro tomorrow b/c I'm not waiting a frickin month for him to say something. I know he needs to read and consult but is he even doing that??????? It's bee warmer here than normal and on that website of his workplace, says he's on golf course in free time. You think he's reading the book I sent in between golf holes??? Nope. I think I'll try the vinegar shower and I have to get in bed half way early. Still looks like the city dump in here and I'll be glad when I get stuff back to half way normal. Nobody still physically helping me either. My house is small but cute so don't picture it being a nasty, gross place. I have nice things for someone not RICH. I wish I could get this carpet out of my house. Gross..............even wit hepa vaccuming.....and I couldnt do that last week cuz stuff everywhere and busy. I think carpet is toxic in all ways now b/c dust and bateria and spores and all nasties hang out there and when new, the treatment they put on it is toxic. NO CARPET. I hate it. I was sick for 6 months after moving in this new house with paint, carpet and whatever else... Ok, signing off.. Think I will trash the wicker chairs and cushions. Nobody said anything about my post but the one that told me on phone to use vinegar ETC. My mom says, do ya need them anyhow, NO, trash them suckers. She is one that gets it but really doesn't get it b/c she doesn't read about it and I think my parents house is toxic now. My mom has the symptoms. Numb, sores on head, she got memory loss and unbalance years back and quit work and thought it stress which stress can bring it on and not sure what else. I told her she ought to get an MRI but she won't. She also is a sweetaholic and just got told borderline diabetic. I'll have to quiz her on other things but just the fact she gets sores on her head tells me something. She is the HLA DR gene carrier I bet. She'll deny it up and down I'm sure. Guest guest
I tried thte excedrin out of deparation not long ago and had a horrible reaction to it. I haven't had any bad headaches lately thank goodness. Will see how Spring and Fall does this year. Probably get some more Axert just in case b/c I can't take 3-4 days of that pain! Seems I tried some natural products too without sucess. Anyone else have a therapeutic light? I got one last year to see if help fatigue but I used it more last year than I have this year. Need to start using it again. I would turn it on in the morning and let is shine on me while getting ready but need more plugs in bathroom b/c I have a curling iron and hair dryer and a small tv going too. Seems that light was $150. Got one since we don't get much natural light and we need it. Rhonda > >> > > > >> > > OUTDOOR SLEEPERS??? > >> > > Not me. Guest guest
WHAT ARE GALLSTONES AND GALLBLADDER DISEASE? Bile and the Gallbladder The formation of gallstones is a complex procedure that starts with bile, a fluid composed mostly of water, bile salts, lecithin (a fat known as a phopholipid), and cholesterol. (Most gallstones are formed from cholesterol.) Bile is first produced by the liver and then secreted through tiny channels that eventually lead into a larger tube called the common bile duct , which leads to the small intestine. Only a small amount of bile drains directly into the small intestine, however. Most flows into the gallbladder through the cystic duct , which is a side extension off the common duct. (The system of ducts through which bile flows, including the common bile duct is called the biliary tree). The gallbladder is a four-inch sac with a muscular wall that is located under the liver. Here, most of the fluid (about two to five cups a day) is removed, leaving a few tablespoons of concentrated bile. Bile is important for the digestion of fat. The gallbladder serves as a reservoir until bile is needed in the small intestine for this function. A hormone called cholecystokinin is released when food enters the small intestine. Cholecystokinin signals the gallbladder to contract and deliver bile into the intestine. The force of the contraction propels the bile back down the common bile duct and then into the small intestine, where it emulsifies (breaks down) fatty molecules. This process allows the emulsified fat as well as fat-absorbable nutrients, including vitamins A, D, E, and K, to enter the blood stream through the intestinal lining. Formation of Gallstones (Cholelithiasis) About three-quarters of the gallstones found in the US population are formed from cholesterol. About 15% of gallstones are known as pigment stones. Patients may also have a mixture of pigment and cholesterol gallstones. Gallstones can range from a few millimeters to several centimeters in diameter. Cholesterol Stones. Cholesterol makes up only five percent of bile. It is not very soluble, however, so in order to remain suspended in fluid, it must be properly balanced with bile salts. If there is an imbalance in bile salts and cholesterol, the following occurs: The fluid turns to sludge, which consists of a mucus gel containing cholesterol and calcium bilirubinate. If the process continues, cholesterol crystals form out of the bile solution ( supersaturation) and can eventually form gallstones. This process is referred to as cholelithiasis. It is very slow and most often painless. Supersaturation and cholelithiasis can occur as a result of various abnormalities, although the cause is not entirely clear. Events that may promote cholelithiasis include the following: The liver secretes too much cholesterol into the bile. The gallbladder has defective emptying mechanisms so that the bile becomes stagnant and sludge forms, eventually forming stones. The cells lining the gallbladder may lose their capacity to efficiently absorb cholesterol and fat from bile. Pigment Stones. Pigment stones are composed of calcium bilirubinate, or calcified bilirubin. Bilirubin is a substance normally formed by the breakdown of hemoglobin in the blood and it is excreted in bile. Pigment stones can be black or brown and often form in the gallbladders of people with hemolytic anemia (a relatively rare anemia where red blood cells are destroyed) or cirrhosis. Effects of Gallstones. Gallstones can cause obstruction at any point along the ducts that carry bile: In most cases of obstruction, the stones block the cystic duct, which leads from the gallbladder to the common bile duct. This can cause pain ( biliary colic ), infection and inflammation (called cholecystitis), or both. About 10% of patients with symptomatic gallstones also have stones that pass into and obstruct the common bile duct (called choledocholithiasis). Gallbladder Diseases without Stones Gallbladder disease can occur without stones (called acalculous gallbladder disease). [ See Box Gallbladder Disease without Stones.] GALLBLADDER DISEASE WITHOUT STONES (A CALCULOUS GALLBLADDER DISEASE) Gallbladder disease can occur without stones (called acalculous gallbladder disease). It can be acute or chronic. Acute acalculous gallbladder disease usually occurs in patients who are very ill from other disorders. In such cases, inflammation occurs in the gallbladder, usually from a diminished blood supply or an impairment in the ability of the gallbladder to contract. Chronic acalculous gallbladder disease (also called biliary dyskinesia) appears to be caused by defects in the gallbladder that impair its ability to contract and release bile. Diagnosing Chronic Acalculous Gallbladder Disease Chronic acalculous gallbladder disease is usually diagnosed when a patient complains of gallbladder symptoms but there is no radiologic evidence of stones. (More than half of patients initially diagnosed with this disease however, are eventually shown to have small stones or gallbladder sludge.) The patient is given the hormone cholecystokinin octapeptide (CCK), which induces gallbladder contraction, followed by a radioisotope scan that determines if the gallbladder is emptying correctly. If the gallbladder demonstrates difficulty releasing bile, doctors usually consider the diagnosis confirmed. Treatment for Chronic Acalculous Gallbladder Disease Most patients (75% to 90%) diagnosed with chronic acalculous gallbladder disease [ see above ] are relieved of their symptoms by cholecystectomy (removal of the gallbladder). [ See What Are the Surgical Procedures for Gallstones and Gallbladder Disease?, below.] More than half of patients are subsequently shown to have small stones or gallbladder sludge that was not visible on their ultrasounds. A 2001 study indicates that a muscle defect might be the cause of the disease in patients who do not have stones or sludge.
Guest guest
I have a favorite recipe for pizza dough that I thought I'd share: http://www.fabulousfoods.com/recipes/breads/yeast/pizzadough.html It's easy and quick and I divide it up and freeze. I usually get about 8 or 9 Gryffin sized pizza's out of one batch. Cheryl On May 1, 2007, at 5:42 AM, Caroline Glover wrote: > Shona, > > This is terrible, but I don't remember!
