Jasmine, yes, it means I never had my gallbladder removed. I was

encouraged by my medical doctor to have it removed. Then my

chiropractor encouraged me to try flushing before I had the surgery.

Autism Declines As Vaccines Remove Mercury

A new study shows that autism may be linked after all to the use of

mercury in childhood vaccines, despite government's previous claims

to the contrary.

An article in the March 10, 2006, issue of the Journal of American

Physicians and Surgeons (JPandS.org) shows that since mercury was

removed from childhood vaccines, the alarming increase in reported

rates of autism and other neurological disorders (NDs) in children

not only stopped, but actually dropped sharply ­ by as much as 35

percent.

Children at Risk

In a report by the Environmental Working Group, the American Red

Cross took umbilical-cord blood samples of 10 newborn babies and

tested them for contaminants. The results were devastating. The

tests showed that the babies' blood contained an average of 287

contaminants, including methylmercury, DDT and chlordane. Of the

chemicals, 180 of them are carcinogenic in humans, 217 are toxic to

the brain and nervous system, and 208 are known to cause birth

defects.

Benzene In Pop

Traces of a carcinogenic chemical have been found in soft drinks at

eight times the level permitted in drinking water, it was revealed

last night.

Tests conducted on 230 drinks on sale in Britain and France have

identified high levels of benzene, a compound known to cause cancer,

according to the Food Standards Agency. There is a legal limit of

one part per billion of benzene in British drinking water. The

latest tests revealed levels of up to eight parts per billion in

some soft drinks.

Benzene has been linked to Leukemia and other cancers of the blood.

Traces found in Perrier water 15 years ago led to the withdrawal of

more than 160 million bottles worldwide. The disclosure has prompted

food safety campaigners to demand that the Government reveal which

products contain benzene. At present, the drinks' identities have

not been revealed.

Dr. Rita B. Moyes a microbiologist at Texas A & M University tested

43 water samples from both private and public whirlpool

told Reuters Health.

" And I was just getting the few organisms I was testing for, so it

Teflon byproduct polluting the Mississippi River

A government scientist has been forced to resign, after discovering

dangerous levels of a toxic chemical in the Mississippi River. The

toxins, specifically known as perfluoronated chemicals (PFCs), are a

byproduct of the manufacture of a number of products including

Teflon and Scotchgard. In late 2005, Dr. Oliaei Fardin found

dangerous levels of PFC's in the Mississippi River downstream from a

3M Corporation's dumping site in Minnesota. 3M had been dumping

50,000 pounds of the toxic chemical in the river every year, in a

heavily populated metropolitan area, where the river serves as the

main drinking water source for Minneapolis and St. . PFCs have

caused birth defects and deaths in animal studies and are considered

a likely human carcinogen.
