Guest guest
I've had pain in my left side recently too, especially since I started taking oxypowder. It wakes me up in the morning around 6 or 7. It directly following my navel to the left, about 6 inches away. I also have upper back pain... shefy kimmertx <jackpot@...> wrote: I can't answer about your left side pain but when I had pancreatitis, the pain was 98% in my back; the remaining 2% of pain was in the middle, a smidge to the left of where my gallbladder had been. > > Does anybody have any ideas about what the left pain is? Guest guest
i think you left side just may be your intestines my left side hurt after i flushed and then had ginger root tea Be careful about your left side hurting. Mine was hurting when I had pancreatitis. Your pancreas can hurt on the left side. Sometimes mine hurts now. Susie
Guest guest
What causes the pancreas to hurt and what can you do about it? Shefty: I had pancreatitis because I had two small gallstones in my bile duct (my last two in my GB) and one of them was causing my bile to back up. I passed the one causing the backup in the hospital (didn't know it), then the other one I had an ERCP done to remove it. But gallstone problems can irritate your pancreas too. I think that you should go to a doc and do get evaluated. Since I haven't been following all that you've written about your problem, I realize that you could have already done this. You need to know stone sizes, etc. That way you'll know what you're going to pass. I would also get your left side checked out. They could look at it in ultrasound. That would help and is not painful. I did try to save my GB for years, but had to give it up. I would tell anyone to try to save theirs too, if they can. That's my opinion. Guest guest
>>i'm really trying to find info. on that injection they put straight into the gb and the stones dissolve within a few hours... Shefty: Have you asked your doc if you can have tests done first? Tell him you'd like to save your GB if you possibly could, but you'd like to have tests done to find out stuff. I haven't heard of an injection that you're talking about. That would be great if they now have one like that. I've heard of meds that you take, but they can cause liver damage. I've heard of using sound waves or something that can break up stones, but I haven't heard of an injection. Is this something new? Oh, maybe some place like Dr. Mercola's Web site could recommend a doctor who is a decent one. Dr. Mercola is not cut-happy. Susie
Guest guest
Do they just check the size of gallstones/pancreas status both through ultrasound..? My doc. is like a robot, everytime i tell him i'm having gb problems he says he'll call the surgeon to set up an appointment for me...and i've changed doc. already like 5 times! i'm really trying to find info. on that injection they put straight into the gb and the stones dissolve within a few hours... shefy Tishri7@... wrote: What causes the pancreas to hurt and what can you do about it? Guest guest
Hi Susy No, the injection thing isn't new. It's actually " old " . But America has obviously rid of it since operating is so much more costly to us. Methyl tert butyl direct injection. That's what it's called. I knew they did it a few years ago for elderly or very sick patients who couldn't have surgery. I'm not sure if I believe my doctor that this treatment isn't available anymore..it's not like the elderly or very sick patients just disapeared... I did have an ultrasound done and the doctor just recommended having surgery since I had all the symptoms. I'll check out the website you mentioned, I'd definitely rather have an injection to rid the stones and then just maintain it with flushes/cleanses. I'd even be willing to travel! I'm just not sure if my Kaiser insurance will cover it. Keep us updated!
