Guest guest
Don't beat yourself up. Epsom salts is really hard to take at first, sort of an unnatural taste to say the least. What I did was mix the epsom salts with just enough grapefruit juice to make a shot glass size amount. I am not a drinker but I have had a shot or two in my younger days. I drank the epsom as it was a shot of tequila and then chased it with grapefruit juice. It isn't so bad if you do it all after taking a deep breath and holding it until you have finished the GF juice chaser. Have courage and the world shall bow before you! Guest guest
The epsom salts were by FAR the hardest thing to drink for me, I can totally feel your pain here! I'm not sure if it would have hurt the flush at all, but it helped for me to mix it with a strong-flavored juice, like grape or orange. I tried Apple juice, but it was too light tasting to cover it up! I did like the suggestion to mix it up strong and down it like a shot - I'm not much of a shot drinker, but that might be easier for me to take as well. You can to it, !! I read somewhere that there are little things you can do to prepare yourself - things like drinking 1tsp of epsom salts in a LARGE amount of juice (2 cups), and gradually reducing the amount of juice to get you accustomed to the taste.... there was something similar for the olive oil mixture, but I didn't find that hard to down at all. Guest guest
well if gallbladdr surgery tastes better to you then grapefruit or lemon in olive oil then you can drink that. Your other option is to just use 3/4 cup olive oil with lemon juice without the epsom salt that will not yield as much stones and your bile ducts wont be open but gallstones do come out that way. that is the way Europeans flushed out gallstones foe many years. Guest guest
Ok, I'm going to give it another go tonight. I'm going to try and just have apple juice and water today and do the epsom salts and oil tonight. I'll mix it in a shot form. I have to do it this week as my kids start back at school and kindy.....and dancing.....and swimming in the following week, so I don't have any day except Sunday free!!! The next time I could do it would be Easter (If I'm able to do it tonight I will do another at Easter) Thanks for the encouragement everyone, I hope I can do it tonight!!! -------Original Message------- From: Dana Reale Date: 01/10/06 07:17:45 gallstones Subject: Re: I couldn't do it The epsom salts were by FAR the hardest thing to drink for me, I can totally feel your pain here!dI did like the suggestion to mix it up strong and down it like a shot - I'm not much of a shot drinker, but that might be easier for me to take as well. Guest guest
Hi there, Yes I have the same problem. I got the epsoms down, I just took about 1 spoon in 1 small cup of warm water. I took sips of apple juice in between and licked honey too. My boyfriend was able to down the whole thing... I took the olive oil/grapefruit, but i threw it up an hour later. i've conditioned myself to feel sick every time i even THINK of oil or grapefruit... I did get a few stones out though... I'm doing lots of research trying to find another flush that is similar but maybe doesn't use olive oil...I've only found one site that mentions whipping cream... just try it! it's worth it! you feel so much better... shefy Rob & <wob@...> wrote: Well I'm disappointed in myself, I had been preparing to do the flush all week, drinking lots of apple juice, eating mostly raw fruits and veges, no red meat, chicken or dairy. If I couldn't get the salts down, what hope did I have of ever getting the olive oil and grapefruit juice down!!! Don't spose theres' any other way of getting rid of gallstones, lol. I guess I'll just stick to my diet, take my livatone tablets and perhaps try juicing!!! I was feeling a little lightheaded and weak, so I had a nice big steak for tea, perhaps my iron levels were low, no red meat for over a week. Try using a straw. That can help too. It did me anyway. Susie
Guest guest
To get the Epsom salts down I hold my nose while I drink (breathe through mouth in between swallows), works like a charm, I can't taste at all when my nose is shut. then when I am done drinking the epsom salts I quickly rise my mouth. Never fails. Dana Reale <dana.reale@...> wrote: The epsom salts were by FAR the hardest thing to drink for me, I can totally feel your pain here! Guest guest
You can buy magnesium citrate at any grocery or drug store. It comes in 8oz bottles of liquid. Much easier, will do the same thing. ----- Original Message ----- From: Liz Sapareto<mailto:lizsapar@...> gallstones <mailto:gallstones > Sent: Wednesday, January 11, 2006 10:43 AM Subject: Re: I couldn't do it To get the Epsom salts down I hold my nose while I drink (breathe through mouth in between swallows), works like a charm, I can't taste at all when my nose is shut. then when I am done drinking the epsom salts I quickly rise my mouth.
