Guest guest
Colleen, Thanks for your post, you sound like you have made wise decisions based upon your life circumstances, and that's what it really comes down to, what is best for all, not just ourselves. I also am kind of avoiding reading all the things that can happen after the gallbladder is removed. I know what most of them are since I've been reading so much about the GB over the years, but want to have my own experience and see where it takes me. Lori, Regarding what you said about chewing your food enough and not enough hcl, almost all over the age of 40 (generalizing here) do not produce enough hydrochloric acid and this is why taking digestive enzymes is so helpful. I used to take one that was mostly HCL but it seemed to burn, so changed over to one that is all enzymes called Proactizyme. It's been a great help, and I imagine will continue to be a help as the digestion of fats will now be altered without the extra bile. I'm not taking anything right now until I get to know my " newly altered " digestive system :-) Take care, http://happynutritionist.com
