Guest guest
I started doing the greens and fruit smoothie a month ago and it has been very nice. Almost every day. I'm giving it more time. I will sometimes do kale and parsley blended with papaya and apple juice (or just berries, like blueberries), but my personal favorite is apple juice, mango, with parsley, spinach and celery -- I do a handful of each. I've also added organic dandelion greens, radish greens, sunflower greens, etc. I don't add bananas much because of my tendency to constipate, but every now and then it's a nice addition to my smoothie. The other day I just added some blueberries and apple juice to my greens. I try to keep everything room temperature but when I am not at home, the folks at Wild Oats are happy to make me a veggie and fruit smoothie and it's fairly chilled because the fruit is frozen going in but it's a really nice treat. It just goes into one of those plastic quart containers and no more expensive than what you'd spend on fast food and very satisfying. Adding healthy fats to the morning smoothie like ground flax seeds or virgin coconut oil is also an option. Can you tell that I'm enjoying this new direction I've taken with my diet? I've had a blast. I wish I still had my Vita-Mix (gave it to my daughter who's trying to eat more healthfully and is getting a lot of enjoyment out of it) but my Osterizer blender seems to be blending everything just fine, it's just grainier. They make me gag. I do green juices, although not daily..easier to suck down with a straw and bypass my gag reflex. lol. Fruit smoothies are good..On my last liver flush I did like 3 of those a day.
