Any of us may be wrong. I agree that a large amount of water may be stressful

to weak kidneys (but not necessarily so). Why are they weak? That stressing in

the long run may be strengthening in certain situations. Stress stimulates

certain reactions by the organism. Many times these reactions or the

consequences of these reactions are the desired target. Stress is not always

bad in that light. When it comes to Ayurveda, we are talking about a very well

developed " healing " system that has been around and effectual for thousands of

years. If unhealthy, it is doubtful that this therapy would have withstood the

test of time. we are also talking about 50+ onces of water, which is not an

excessive amount. If one has kidney disease it would be well advised to consult

a qualified health professional. -Dave

The protocol may be about detoxing, but to drink a large amount of water like

this daily for any amount of time..may stress weak kidneys...

I am sure the body can only detox at a certain rate anyway, and really

drinking a larger volume I cannot see does have a real benefit..of course I may

be wrong!

thanks
