Now I have questions re diet!

I'm finally out of pain. I was up all night, only managed to doze off

twice, with the help of a piping hot hot water bottle. I have actually

bruised my abdomen by pressing down under my ribs and trying to massage my

gallbladder! It didn't seem to help, btw. I also wouldn't take Epsom salts

again as the only effect they seemed to have was on my bowels. Having to

deal with that along with the pain, I could have done without! Having

ME/CFS the pain leaves me really stressed and weak, and having to run to the

loo all the time was just too much!

Ok so now I am definitely without doubt going low fat (and planning for a

liver flush). I've been on a low carb diet and each gallbladder attack has

followed the (occasional) consumption of high carb high fat foods which,

incidentally, have always given me heartburn. I believe that I have candida

too so now it looks like I need to follow a basic fish, fowl and vegetables

diet. I have reactive hypoglycaemia so avoid carbohydrates and sugars. I

feel a bit at a loss to what to eat. For example, without being able to go

out to the shops, there's almost nothing in my fridge that I can eat. Since

the pain subsided I've eaten only a mug of vegetable bouillon (from power)

and home-made natural yoghurt. Later I'll have some frozen vegetables and

need to get to the shops tomorrow. I have chicken and beef in the freezer

but it's all frozen so not available for today!

Another issue with gallstones is high protein consumption. Due to my

reactive hypoglycaemia, I need to eat protein at every meal, or else I

crash. With ME/CFS, I've found that a fairly high protein diet evens out my

energy levels. Am I right in thinking that eating so much protein might

have contributed to my gallstones? ly, I believe it was a period of

very low fat dieting along with taking Xenical, an anti-obesity drug, that

lead to the gallstones, as that is when I had my first attack (thinking it

was only severe heartburn or perhaps helicobacter) and later discovered that

I have only gravel in my gallbladder.

Could you guys give me an idea of what you eat, day to day? I'm prepared to

try brown rice again but am definitely sensitive to wheat and don't want to

bring it back into my diet. I'm thinking I'm going to be reduced to only

fish, fowl and vegetables and a little rice. With candida I need to cut out

fungi, yeasts, belladonna vegetables (peppers and tomatoes :-( ). Please

can you share with me what you eat? Thanks.
