One thing I'd like to check out with the rest of you. The pain I'm

experiencing just now is as if my stomach is on fire and someone is pointing

a blow torch at my back. The pain is under (not below) my ribs, it

fluctuates like my stomach is chewing itself and I can almost feel it

draining off and on (if that makes sense). It's also very painful to

breathe deeply, shift about in bed and move around. I can't even yawn

properly - have to take several short breaths to get a yawn out! I don't

have any pain in my gallbladder. I've been doing the massage that someone

on curezone recommended so have been poking around under my right ribs and

massaging. My pain is right across the front and the back, so it's

uncomfortable to do the massage but I've been doing it anyway. My hospital

report says I had upper right quadrant pain, but that was only when the

doctor poked around to test it. Generally my pain is across my back and

under (not below) my ribs - ie in my stomach.

What I'd like to know is - is this the kind of pain the rest of you

experience during an attack?

Alison

My attacks felt like a vice around my whole ribcage - constantly pressing

tighter. No position helped for very long, so was constantly moving.

Warm chamomile tea helped once.

Have you tried castor oil packs for the pain?
