Guest guest
I seem to be noticing a pattern and I don't fully understand what is going on. I have taken about 2-3.5 grams of Vitamin C every day for a very long time. I always feel very good on this, and chew them up with a glass of milk in the morning (Tastes like a orange julius). Anyways in the past week I started taking Iodine out of curiosity and noticed I now feel REALLY GOOD in the mornings, and it slowly wanes off. When I mean really good, I mean I feel like GOLD some days. I eat naturally and take no contraband whatsoever. Don't drink or smoke and exercise regularly blah blah blah... Does anyone know the cause of this, and has anyone duplicated this effect or is willing to see if they get the same thing?? I take standard Vitamin C, and standard Oral Iodine about 500 mics a day. The other big thing I noticed is my colors in my vision improved dramatically, my reds are now RED etc, and I sleep better and have alot more energy. All I know is Vitamin C is a very good antioxidant, and well Iodine gets the Thyroid under the direction of the Pituitary gland to manufacture T3 and T4. I've also always wondered if they use Iodine on cuts and scrapes, would it not kill bacteria and viruses it encounters in a persons system as well?? Ambien does the same thing to me and I heard on a news show this am regarding brain stimulation for depression that when the area is stimulated, not only does mood lift considerably, but colors become quite bright. I wonder what's going on? Why would Ambien make colors deeper while reducing anxiety and improving mood? I take it for sleep, but these benefits don't hurt. Just saw a documentary indicating stimulation of this area is being used to treat depression and one of the improvements patients reported immediately, that is while still in surgery (they are kept awake) was increased brilliance in color. Guest guest
I also wanted to know if I was fooling myself when I took iodine in a lime, or an orange aid drink. Would the interaction of the vitamin C in the drink affect the iodine? Thank You A vitamin c and iodine I was reading in the links section about taking vit c and iodine at the same time. I know there was a big discussion about this awhile back. Did we ever come to a conclusion about whether or not it is ok to take them together? Also, if we should separate, how many hours should we wait between taking the two. Deb
Guest guest
Again - I have been told to take my iodine with Vit C per Dr. Brownstein. It has never been an issue. What kind of Lime and Orange Aid drink are you using? Make sure there is no Brominated Vegetable Oil in them. Guest guest
, From what I've read, the answer to your question is, Yes. You could take your Iodine in a nice tonic of Apple Cider Vinegar/Water/Honey (or Stevia). I just drink mine in water every morning, and take the Vitamin C later in the day. Guest guest
Steph, In Jo Fahey's Iodine document, she says the Vitamin C affects the Iodine, rendering it null... Guest guest
Thank you So that’s why my wife is feeling the iodine and I am not… She is bursting with energy! Dr. Brownstein recommends that we take vitamin C every other day and not take iodine that day as I understand it. Boy taking iodine in water is tough for me! Thank you for the drink recommendations. We always use a lime or orange never anything artificial. Another drink that I may use is Barley, rice, or melon seed. Orchata as it is called , that is Blend barley, little milk, water, and a little vanilla. I love lime and lemon aid (natural) and take it often. Where do you get the Apple Cider Vinegar? Guest guest
I mean make your own apple cider drink with the Apple Cider Vinegar: Apple Cider Vinegar with the mother, Water, Honey or Stevia--it's wonderful and very healthy. There's a good write up on www.jcrows.com site about it, too. Guest guest
Hi , I take my Lugol's in an empty veggie capsule. You can buy them at the health food stores. Also, Bragg's Organic Apple Cider Vinegar is what I buy. You can also buy that at just about any Health food store. Just make sure the apple cider vinegar that you buy has the " mother " in it. It is thick cloudy stuff on the bottom. Janie > Boy taking iodine in water is tough for me! Guest guest
First, thank all of you so much for writing this. I don't post much but I have learned so much from what you have all experienced and written about. I had been drinking two swigs (straight from the bottle, ugh) of Apple Cider Vinegar for a long time and felt terrific. I had stopped and forgotten all about it's wonderful qualities. After reading your posts I started with the Sea-iodine about two weeks ago and began the Vinegar regimen about 5 days ago and 'suddenly' I am sleeping better, my hair is stronger (a real worry for me as it was thinning and splitting!) and I just feel good again. Thank you for your information. Toni "Any intelligent fool can make things bigger and more complex. It takes a touch of genius - and lot of courage - to move in the opposite direction." Guest guest
You put the Logol's in with water and the vinegar? Does this make the taste better or somehow improve absorption? I have yet to begin my Lugol's. Got it last week. I want to know what I'm doing rather than jump in blindly! I did open the bottle today and sniffed it....my husband told me to go for it, but I didn't. Smells way different than the bottle I have for cuts and wounds. The labels read a lot different too, no alcohol in the Lugol's and not the same type of Iodine either. I'm learning. I have hypothyroid, adrenal fatigue, and Lyme disease, so don't need any extra stress from Detox or other side effects to knock me on my butt any more than usual! I take several grams of Vit C now, put 1/4 t sea salt in my water bottle, take mag, calcium, cod liver oil, fish oil, and a few other things. Maybe I will go take a drop now come to think of it, gotta try sometime!! ;P /MI Hi , I take my Lugol's in an empty veggie capsule. You can buy them at the health food stores.
