Hi Marta,

Well, called everyone today and finally the heart surgeon called

back. he is going to have another conference with the cardiologist and call

again. At this time he says he doesn't see a need for heart surgery. The

front of his heart is getting enough blood flow, the back of his heart is

dead. so we don't know if he is going to rehab, disability or what. I will

keep you posted. As soon as I know everything, I will post on lyme-aid.

Everyones support and prayers were wonderful. I could not do this without

all of you.

Congrats on your IV's

love ya,

Con

Hi Connie,

Glad you finally got some news, it sounds good to me if no surgery, and

rehab will help. And good to know that Joe is making those calls himself

and not relying on you to do it all. I am not doing too good on the IV had

trouble with the line to my port falling out this morning (Sunday) and

nurses had to come out, port area too swollen for another line, so they

infused me in my hand...ouch! Hopefully they can access the port

tomorrow....at least I didn't miss a dose. Please keep us all posted, so

sorry I am slow to respond, been feeling pretty awful.

Hugs,

Marta

Hi Everyone,

We visited the cardiologist yesterday. So far they think that he can be

treated chemically, no drugs. He is doing well on the " Study " drugs they

put

him on. He is going to do cardiac rehab again for 6 weeks, then try and go

back to work.

Thanks to all of you for all your prayers.

Hi,

Can you believe I wrote, chemically, no drugs. Geeze, lyme has eaten my

Hi Marta,

Thanks for your note, you are right, I am exhausted. Last night when

I sat down after an entire day of computer stuff, calling BC, etc, I told

that I hate nights. Because when I sit down to relax I can really feel

the pain, everything hurts and thumps. Of course his expert medical opinion

was you must not be on the right medicines. (He who has to carry a list

typed by me because he tell the doctors, he is on " stuff " , like yellow pill,

etc.)

I am off on spring break this week and hopefully will get some stuff done.

There is so much going on, I can't keep up with it. But I am going to try.

I am glad he didn't have to have surger and the study drugs he is on are

working, but he has to do his part too.

I caught a chest cold and am glad i can stay home and rest. And my student

that I am in charge of at school had a couple of psychotic days, " alter ego " .

I was also very tired from trying to straighten that out. Still have to

write a summary to sent to his psychiatrist. But I have until Friday to do

that.

Thank you so much for your kind words and support. I know you are going

thru a rough time with the IV's. Hang in there. I am looking forward to

seeing you in Gettysburg.

Love and hugs and thank you for that wonderful page, I sent it along

to others and it made their day.

Hi Connie,

Great news, I needed to hear some, although in your short note I detect

a bit of exasperation, you must be so exhausted from all this

waiting and maybes. Joe too. I just hope both of you can move on with your

lives after this ordeal and treat this as a bad memory. I hope you don't

collapse now that this is kind of over, seems we tend to run on adrenaline

until we can relax and then we are one huge walking pain center. Please

take care of yourself, and see the doctor yourself if need be,

Love,

Marta

I had to write on this one. I mainly want to thank my husband for all his

caring and understanding. I want those to know that don't have the ideal

person for their spouse that there are good guys/gals out there. My husband

is not perfect but loves me and would never leave me.

Yes we do fight. But through out our whole marriage never once have we

battled without love or forgiveness. We also have never called each other

names...never once has he called me lazy or crazy or anything. And he

acknowledges that he really can't understand what I am going through and

vica versa for me too. We all deserve love and respect. There are people

out there who have this kind of attitude of love and charity. Please

remember that. And I love all of you my friends.

You are all Princes and Princesses in the Lord's eyes. You deserve to be

treated as such. I am praying for all of you that you might receive the

respect and love you need.

PS. Are these bumps people talking about that is on the head feel small and

round, at first I felt they were just acne on my head but now I

wonder...because they hurt if I push them.....just curious...mine aren't

real bad but I have about 5 or 6 on my head that are fairly small....???????

My hubby and I have a few nicknames, like I call him Bunky or Snuffy. He

just always calls me Hon.

Not too many times by my real name. Of course when we are arguing, we call

each other every name in the

book, like Marta, curse words.....no wonder his friends call me Sailor.

My husband is understanding I think, but when you have all different

problems, it becomes harder for him to understand, so if I was to say that

something was hurting today, he would say, whats new? or what is it today?

Boy, he needs to listen to himself. Lately he's had wrist pains, back

pains, rib pains and who knows what else, probably ankle pain.

I have heard of people getting pimples on their heads. Matter of fact, I

think I have had a few. You can

always have your spouse or other half look at them to see what they look

like.

Hope everyone is well! Love you guys!

Hi Cyntha,

Glad you have such a good hubby, made me feel a bit guilty, my husband

never ever calls me names either, but can't say the same for me....when I

get mad, I have been known to call him every name under the sun, mostly cuss

words, not personal words like " ugly " or " baldy " or " stupid " , just plain old

profanity, but he always just lets it roll off his back, and in a few

minutes he is ready to make up. I am very lucky! And all you list members

thought I was such a nice person....Ha!

As for those bumps, mine always itched, the small ones and the big ones.

Not sure if acne itched, it's been a long time since I had that.

They are also tender to touch, but I bet a pimple is too. Anyway, isn't

your scalp a strange place to get acne??? I hope you figure out what they

are soon....are they worse when you are on abx, and possibly herxing?

Hugs,

I am on no abx. still fighting docs...but have been on amitriptoline *not

sure if that is right spelling* but it has helped some. but I do have the

little red bumps that itch all the time. Strangely I thought this last week

I was pregnant. I was nauseated..throwing up felt exactly like morning

sickness and was even leaking (breasts)*sensitive issue, sorry*. But the

test said negative so now I get to find out why. May be lyme related.

Anybody ever had this happening to them. I had an IUD so I was dumbfounded

at the time and could not figure out how I could have gotten pregnant but I

was that sure..lol...but nope. Life loves to play tricks. I was releaved

but at the same time in a strange way disappointed. Makes sense right...lol

By the way did anybody watch 20 20 the other day. About they think they may

have found a cure for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia??? It was

very interesting.

I seem to have the same feelings, nauseousness, leaking breast, on a regular

basis, but just started to be regular again within the last few months, also

at the beginning of my treatment. And yes these are all part of Lyme & /or

Fibromyalgia. I can't remember where I read that, but I remember when it

first happened about 4 years ago, when I was still going to the doctor

constantly with varying complaints, wondering what the hell was wrong with

me. They never put all the symptoms together, even though one of my first

complaints back in 1992 was " after raking leaves, developed rash all over

torso (funny not on my legs), and has flu like symptoms, and aching joint "

(HELLO, dah). I do know how you feel about being disappointed that it wasn't

a pregnancy. Even though I not only do not want any more children and I 40

years old, its still rough when you experience such a beautiful event and

not yearn to do it again. I have three children and being sick with Lyme,

its not a good time to get pregnant - for you I mean. But I empathize. Take

care, Vicki, Md

I agree with the baby thing Vicki...I was so worried that I would be

pregnant and transfer this disease to another child. I couldn't bare to do

that. But yeah the yearning to hold another baby is very strong....but

sometimes...just got to be unselfish...also not to mention what it would do

to my body...I already have enough problems with it....thanks for your

reply....doctor had made me go in and take another pregnancy test but of

course it was negative...duh I already knew that from my test that I

took...sigh....thanks again....

Thanks for laughing!

I don't know what I would do without generous people such as yourself!

The amazing thing about Axel's post that I did NOT mention, was that he

actually remembered that I was an A on the list with an O husband. I guess

we could talk about whether Axel is a chauvinistic O! (He cares not for

other blood types! Only thinks of his O'n)

Hello Francis,

He's pretty amazing our adorable Axel isn't he? As much as he gets himself

into trouble sometimes (with people misunderstanding him and whatnot)!

Maybe he is building and storing profiles on us all!!!! I can just imagine

him and his crazy sense of humour and life, conjuring up potions and making

voodoo dolls of us all....

Been so busy but I wanted to tell you guys that my husband also has

gallstones and has done 3 flushes. The second one was amazing he had

so many stones and 5 very large ones---larger than quarters. And

they came out using the epsom salts.

He could actually feel them because of their size.

I never had those kinds of stones--very little if any at all.

I think my problem is more sludge. Maybe all the apple juice broke

it up?? And I did grind my own as well as cider/store

brought/organic.

Also pear has malic acid.

I also think digestive enzymes help a great deal--especially if you

have to eat protein--/heavy meal.

I still have pain at night on the right side of the flank--not real

bad but reminds me of the GB.

A year later.

I know I must keep flushing but it does get better--less fat helps

as well.

But almost a year later and no surgery. I never had the fever or

yellow eyes--only one attack last June.

Tough to say with your wife --you need to know the condition of her

GB and get another opinion!!!!!!! Many if you have too----Go to a

DO --they are much more open to alternatives.

So hubby and I both have our GB's---we do notice we use a lot of

salt---does anyone else as well??

We eat a lot less red meat--more fish--a lot of fruit--

So having the pain is not the worst thing in the world if we are

eating better---

some good comes out of this!!!
