Did you find this out only after fleuro? There are days when I can eat more than 2 cups and days that I feel fullness right away. I'm assuming that I'm still getting used to the right signals, but on the days I overeat I worry that I'm dilating too. I have discomfort, especially if I eat too fast and it takes quite a while for things to progress and I burp for about an hr or more on and off after " every " meal, reguardless if I eat slow or not. Just wondering if I should be concerned about all this burping and what signs would tell me that I'm dilated. I'm app 11 wks post op.>> If you have any concerns about dialation of your stomach, please see your doctor. Don't fool around and guess, you're just past the healing stage. For me, I was at a point where I felt I needed a slight fill, I was hungry a lot, not loosing at all. I had stopped measuring and weight my food so was probably eating more than I should. During this time I had also fallen and hurt my knees, I took Advil for about a week, several times a day (didn't know this was an NSAID). After taking the Advil I developed a slight bladder infection so I began drinking cranberry juice by the quart. Right then I began having slight reflux at night. I didn't think anything of it other than realizing the Advil and cranberry juice was acidic and probably was the cause. I contacted my doc..and these boards..the doc said to take Pepcid/Zantac for a week and let him know how things were going. I did as he said, the reflux went away. I went in a week or two later for my fill, it was at that time we discovered my pouch was a bit larger than average. Now everybody on these boards kept saying, if you have ANY reflux, go see your doctor and don't wait. I shoulda, coulda..didn't listen to them because the reflux went away. One thing I learned from this.. any hint of reflux for more than a day or so..get to the doc. I don't know if you're having reflux as you didn't say but I'd be really careful with 2 cups of food. The pouch only stretches so far..and bandster guidelines say 1/2 to 1 cup of food at a sitting. If you are concerned about the discomfort and know you are eating more than bandster guidelines, it might be a good thing to get a fluro. Better safe than sorry. Guest guest
Hi, - I guess there is no specific doemnet just about dilations - sorry. But dilations are discussed in the files here (go to the blue left-hand column on the message page of this group, click on :FILES " ) in several documents: All the 4 Fill documents Restriction - what is a good restriction? Reflux document Restriction documents. You can also do a search using the Search Engine at the top of the page for " dilations " and wyou'll find the many, many times this has come up. Also - just ask a question! and we can respond and hopefully help.
