problems with thyroid mediation or M.E.

Hi everybody,this is my first post ever ,i would like to tell you

about

myself in the hope that someone out there ,can identify with my

situation and offer some advice .Firstly all my life i have suffered

from headaches and lived on paracetamel .But apart from headaches i

was

a slim energetic mum of three children ,with a full time career and

hobby and social life .then around the time i turned fourty in 1993 i

did'nt feel so well,i was still working ,but slowly i lost my hobby

and

social life. At first i felt unwell and tired but had insomnia ,my

mood

was low and i was gaining wieght ,also my menstral cycle was becoming

erratic.I started visiting my g.p. he tried several types of .hrt

but

they did;nt help at all. At the beggining of 97 i had spiralled down

to a

point where i could no longer work or get out of bed very often,In

march 99,now five stone heavier at 13-10 i was not surprisingly

diagnosed

with diabetes type2.This was a relief ,now i knew i could get better,

for a

a few months i took metformin and gligazide but i felt worse .Then

i was diagnosed with an under active thyroid and given

thyroxine ,this

time i believed i would follow doctors orders and feel better,and

recover .It has never happened ;In late 2001 just after my fourty

ninth

birthday on gligazide 175 i recovered ,it was marvellous,I returned

to

my career the but recovery only only lasted twelve months ,I was

devastated

In 2004 i recovered again on same meds but this time it lasted six

months

In summer 2006 a new endo diagnosed cfs/me I attended a m.e. clinic

in

summer 2006 it did,nt help.In april 2007 i read dr peatfields book

and

got hold of armour .I also tried adrenal support but nothing seemed

to

get me bettar .My endo and g.p. wont prescribe armour anyway telling

it

wast,nt licenced.Two weeks ago i went onto insulin and endo wants me

to

take 100-t4 +10-t3 daily.Upto then i'd been taking three and a half

grains of armour +50t4 self medicating.Have tried endo's 100t4+10t3

last couple of days I feel terrible and have had in some armour .I

just

can't get well and wonder if i really have m.e. or if ican't really

find

the right balance thyroid medication .Endo g.p. think i have

m.e.+fibromyalgia The brain fog is severe at the moment and i can't

seem

to help myself Im a 55year mother of 3+3 grandchildren and spend most

of my time in bed or on the settee I am exhausted and in pain,my

quality of life is poor.I'm overwieght and have lost a lot of hair.I

look very different from my old self ,but worse than that my

personality has been changed negatively by this condition .I

offer
