Hello, my name is and I have just come across this group by

chance and my curiosity has been roused.

I haven't had chance to read all the info on liver cleansing as yet,

but I am interested in the idea.

I was diagnosed with bile reflux about 8 years ago, though I've

suffered with it for years. I can't see how reflux could be related to

gall stones, but I just wondered what your thoughts might be on that.

But beyond this, I had a 'flare up' of the problem after my 2nd baby

was born; I became very sensitive under my right rib. My doctor

thought it might be gall stones. I had an ultra sound scan about 2

months later (I live in the UK and health care can be a bit slow). The

scan was negetive, although by this time the discomfort had improved.

Since then the problem has never gone, but gets better and worse.

I had my 3rd baby about 6 months ago and have had a few strange

indigestion attacks. When I did a search by the symptoms on google, I

found an almost perfect match for 'bilery colic', which apparently is

mostly caused by gall stones. I haven't seen my doctor this time as I

can't see he could offer me much beyond refering me to a surgeon,

which is not an option I would remotely consider at this point.

If I decide to try it, I'm not going to leap into liver cleansing just

yet because I'm a nursing mum and have to eat like a horse to keep up

with my hungry son, so I don't feel it's the best time to start a

restictive diet. I have just a few questions though.......

Has there been any medical research into liver cleansing that you know of?

How safe is it really?

Is it painfull (if gallstones start to move)?

I look forward to hearing your experiences with this.

Sorcha :-)
