What tell the Pituitary to tell the Thyroid to punch out T3 and T4?

I am just curious, but does anyone know what it is that tells the

Pituitary gland to tell the Thyroid to increase T3 and T4 outputs to

the body??

Supposedly it is controlled by the hypothalmus - is that correct? But

what chemicals stimulates these??
