The one I did was called Urine Toxic Metals by Doctor's Data Inc., through Flechas Family Practice Labs. (Didn't know of any other metal tests through his lab.) The metals included in the test were: aluminum, antimony, arsenic, beryllium, bismuth, cadmium, lead, mercury, nickel, platinum, thallium, thorium, tin, tungsten and uranium. The test also included creatinine. All were low. Mahin

Actually I am also interested in a test to see chloride, bromide and fluoride in the urine. Anyone?

Ok, I am hoping I can figure out where to get the test done that Dr. B uses to see Mercury, Chloride, Bromide and Fluoride in the urine. He says that he only gets a few kits a year so I am guessing it is not available to the general public.

When I did the 24hr loading iodine test through Dr. Flechas last year, I also did the urine toxic metals test and all of the results, including mercury were low. Mahin

When I called Flechas' office a couple months ago, they said they should have a urine test for bromide in a month or so. Might be worth a call to see how they are coming with it. Zoe

I called Flechas' office today and ask them about it. Evidently they are still in the process of putting together a urine test for chloride, bromide and fluoride, and they think in less than a month they may be able to offer it. The cost will also be determined at that time. Mahin

the loading test is really simple. Just don't make any plans to go places and do thing for 24 hours. Stay home and do it. Mahin

Thanks for checking on that. I hope it is easier to deal with than the loading test. You should see this kit I got from Dr. Brownstein. YIKES! It is intimidating to even think about reading. Of course I am in brain fog land too so that makes it worse.

Oh believe me I have done too many 24 hour test. I have done 3 now since seeing Dr. Brownstein. Seems to be the test of choice. LOL! The last one was started when I left his office - 2 1/2 hours from my house and I had other places to go. Thank goodness I Had a cooler in my van. I had to forego the food at Whole Foods (freezer stuff) to keep the other thing cool. Probably TMI but I am well versed on it. I just need to read the instructions on when to stop Iodoral, etc. I am on a loading dose already so I'll have to see what to do. There are also two options on my test. Iodine only and Iodine / Iodide.
