Allergic Reaction to Self Dissolving Sutures

Has anyone had an allergic reaction to their sutures? I had my VG band

put in place by Dr. Kuri on April 11th. I think he and his crew did a

great job, however, - My incisions have had a hard time healing, to

initially pulling apart on one section in the largest. They are

finally staying together but it is extremely red under the surface. My

Fill Doc here said that it appeared that I have an allergic reaction to

the sutures. He said it would eventually be OK. The word " eventually "

makes me a little nervous. Has anyone else out there had a similar

reaction and know what the eventual progression is?
