It seems like there's definite interest in an Everett soupnight. Can anyone

recommend a meeting place, and is there a preference of day? I think the

other groups already meet the first and second Tuesdays, so we may want to

try to plan around those for people who want to try to make other soup

nights.

The only place that comes to my mind is the Everett Mall food court - you

don't need reservations and we can shove tables together. But I'm open to

other suggestions, I just don't know the restaurants in town all that well

(I live in Monroe).

Being that I've never been to a " soup night " before and not exactly

knowing if you're only supposed to eat soup, there's lots of choices

to pick from. The last place I went with a pretty good sized group

was down to the Woodfire Grill, out at the Everett Marina. They have

a very reasonable " Happy Hour " for appetizers (a full meal for us,

now) and drinks. If something could be organized before the end of

summer, they have an outside patio that we were able to use. Other

than that, there's the usual Italian (Olive Garden), Mexican

(Azteca), Oriental (China Doll, Hunan Palace) and fun (Red Robin)

places to go. Please let me know if I can be of any help organizing.

Oooh, Debbie, I like the idea about the Woodfire Grill. I wonder if they

will want a headcount? When is good for folks? We don't need to carve a

regular date in stone just yet, let's just meet and then decide on something

regular. (By the way, we don't care what people eat at soupnight.)

What if we try to meet one evening the last week of this month? Can we

narrow it down to a day? 6ish at the Woodfire Grill? What days work for

folks? I think I'll go put up a poll....

Barb,

I'll go there tonight and get the specifics on what they need. I'm

sure they'll need a basic head count and I'll doublecheck on the

times for the " happy hour " .

Barb,

I wanna come to the Everett Soup Night. I don't care where or what

time but my preference would be a Tuesday night like the one I've

been going to in North Seattle. I swim on Monday and Wednesday and

play bridge on Thursday. I can do weekends too if anyone is

interested in that.
