Any thoughts on the new formatting in the emails, as a result of eliminating

attachments????

PLEASE SEND ME YOUR FEEDBACK.

Overall, I like the easier readability of the messages. Most of the links still

seem to come through, but not all of them.

I miss the colors. I find I can no longer use color to highlight important

parts of a message. Also, I miss the colors that others use. I suspect that

the use of bold or italics has also disappeared. I haven't experimented with

different type fonts and sizes.

What have YOU noticed?

I've written to the moderators of the Natural Thyroid Hormone group to ask

about their email settings. They say that they have it set to no attachments,

and the links come through fine.

I am going to set the group to " no attachments " for a one-day experiment. If

we like it, we can keep it that way. Otherwise, we can revert to the way it is

now. Let me know what you think.

depending on your email program - in Outlook Express >Format>click on Rich Text

then the font and colour you have set as your default will reappear

Personally I don't like the plain text. As you said it makes it harder to show

references, etc through bolding and colors. I always appreciated that this

group had that formatting as a Thyroid group I am on does not and it is

frustrating when wanting to copy/paste things I find that have HTML in them.

JMHO but I don't like this.

I greatly prefer this format, I think it is much easier to read. I

don't care about a change of color to highlight messages, it is still

easiest to read black on white. Thanks for changing it, I hope we

can keep it like this.

I like the cange A LOT!!! Looking at posts via web-based Gmail, I

used to keep getting messages about attachments. Some may like the

color highlighting, but I found it distracting. The colored

backgrounds and " stationary " never showed up in Gmail, but I kep being

given the option to D/L the attachments, which were the background

images. Posts are now more compact. I save ALL my messages which

are not SPAM. I really appreciate plain text e-mail because it takes

up less of my disk space.

I am also discovering that I cannot change the font size any more.

I used to be able to decrease the length of a URL by decreasing the font size.

That enabled it to be on one line, and thus clickable. Now, the larger print

size causes the URLs to be longer, and therefore broken.
