Guest guest
i supplement with 45 mg of Iodoral ... thus far, my results have been rather preliminary ... i'm new to Iodoral - 4 months - and my last thyroid tests turned out to be almost "normal". I dropped Levoxyl and began Armour about 3 months ago. some days i have a whole less of brain fog, A LOT more energy ... then there are days, when i take the same amount as everything, as the day before ... and just feel lousy ... the first time I have a full week of feeling pretty fantastic, i'll definitely report that - that would be a major change. am also taking Waiora - a form of zeolite - and it's making a difference, generally, in how i feel - as it detoxes heavy metals. my feeling is that on the days i don't feel all that well, it's the iodine detoxing other stuff, like bromine and fluoride moving through my body. sometimes NOT feeling well is not necessarily a bad thing. i am trying to remember: WATER, WATER, WATER. Would like to hear how others with hashimoto's are doing. regards devaprem __________________________________________________

Guest guest
I did find one by Multi Pure, but it's their commercial version. There is an additional add-on feature that you can get that will filter out fluoride. I did a lot of research and this was the only one I found that filtered out fluoride.LinnOn Jun 12, 2006, at 8:04 AM, braguet@... wrote:In a message dated 6/10/2006 7:09:07 PM Eastern Daylight Time, linnmiller@... writes:Regarding drinking lots of water, do you use a filter that removes fluoride? Is there such a thing? Linn Some filters will remove a small portion of the fluoride, but not the majority, so claiming to filter out fluoride can be misleading. Do you know how much fluoride the Multi Pure claims to remove? Lynn_,___
Guest guest
No I don't remember offhand, but I have that on my agenda to get ordered this week, so I'll look it up. I do think it was a large percentage though as that was specifically what I was looking for. The unit by itself does not remove fluoride, same as all the other units I found, but this one had another special filter that you could attach that did filter the fluoride. Guest guest
Hi Linn Upon doctor's orders, i drink only distilled water and take trace minerals separately (because of the good stuff that is in water, that i miss). In the past, i used the Multi-Pure system and the water tasted fantastic. I still have it connected to my kitchen sink and use it for washing veggies, etc. devapremLinn <linnmiller@...> wrote: Regarding drinking lots of water, do you use a filter that removes fluoride? Guest guest
Hi, With Hashimotos the tpo is high, if you haven't got raised TPO antibodies then it's not hashimotos as far as I understand it. However there are other reasons for a thyroid gland to fail. Positive antithyroglobulin antibodies may be due to: * Graves diseaseGraves disease * Hashimoto's thyroiditisHashimoto's thyroiditis * HypothyroidismHypothyroidism * Myxedema * Systemic lupus erythematosusSystemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) * Thyroid cancer * ThyrotoxicosisThyrotoxicosis * Type 1 diabetes So you have other fields to look at. Do you have any test results for Thyroid function? (Numbers with the reference ranges are needed, 'Normal' is an opinion, not a result. Ask for the numbers so YOU can see if it's normal..... some docs consider results which are actually OUT of the reference ranges to be normal, even if the patient is incapacitated. What are your symptoms? (Galathea) > > If you have positive Thyroglogulin Tgbo, negative TPO and normal thyroid tsh t4 t3 labs can you still have Hashimto's? >
Guest guest
Hi Isobel, I am in Australia, all of my tests (except Short Synacthen Test & Saliva Cortisol) were paid for by Medicare. However my managing Doc is only partly covered by Medicare (works differently here we get a " rebate " rather than " free " consults). So far we have avoided many of the problems with testing & dxing you are experiencing with the NHS. That's not to say it is easy however, it took me 10 years of ill health before educating myself sufficiently to know what tests I needed & asked for them to finally get dxed. Lethal Lee > > > > You have Hashimotos if EITHER TpoAbs and/or TgAbs are positive. I consider results positive even if still within range (others opinions will differ). > > > > My TgAbs have been higher than TPOAbs most of the time (but not always) sometimes elevated but mostly not. So I do have both. Of course Abs fluctuate all the time & the longer you have had them the lower they will get. > > >
