Guest guest
We try to get ahead of the allergy season by starting our son on Singulair before it hits. I think that is the key - to start before the histamines build up. The past two seasons have been so much more manageable. We used to have the swollen eyes, worse behavior, terrible congestion. This year and last fall, we had a touch of eye itching and then it stopped - no regression - minimal congestion. If his eyes itch, we have Patanol - eye drops as a back up. Guest guest
Eliminating the amount of pollen your child comes in contact with is also terribly important in some cases more important than the antihistamine you use. High pollen hours are 5 am to 10 am so windows should be closed and the child kept indoors. You can get filtered screens that will help. If the child has been playing outside they should bathe and wash their hair before going to bed or they will be inhaling pollen from their hair all night. Guest guest
>>>>After far tooo much xmas cheer I finally plucked up the courage to try my first flush. It wasn't as bad as i had envisaged. I was wondering do the epson salts usually give you diarrhea 2 hours after the 1st dose. I was running to the toilet every 5 mins. Should I cut the dose down next time? After you have the oil lemon mixture can you drink any water until morning as i felt dehydrated. i had a few sips in the morning. LOoking forward to replies from all you multi flushers. Nicky<<< Hi Nicky, I think the holidays do bring out the worst from our gallbladders and this list really gets hopping around them :-) YES, the epsoms are a purgative, and do give diarrhea. It is a good cleanse, leaving the ducts relaxed and everything cleared out, making lots of room for all those stones to quickly pass into the intestinal tract. I sip on water after the epsoms. The way they work is to " pull " water into the digestive/intestinal tract and liquify your waste, so you do get a bit dehydrated and thirsty. I don't do that until after I have been lying very still for about an hour after taking the juice/oil mixture, but do take sips throughout the awake hours of the night...sometimes I sleep through this, sometimes not. I was in are recliner all night a bit over a week ago when I did my last flush and it worked great. Happy New Year! L. Guest guest
Tan, Just about every medication on the market, even those who have been studied and shown safe, have a warning against taking it during pregnancy and nursing. It's a liability/lawsuit issue. I'm not familiar with it, so I can't advise you, but you can look up the various components of it here: http://www.kellymom.com/health/index.html KerryAnn owner, NTOAMC/ owner, NT-kids owner, WAPHG http://cookingnt.blogspot.com/ - updated 12/20 > Message: 9 > Date: Fri, 30 Dec 2005 13:38:33 +1000 > From: " Rob & " <wob@...> > Subject: Re: Nursing and I think I'm going to cleanse HELP > I am also breastfeeding an 11month old.
